(Right so I typo'd the title) Ooops...

Has no one else out there discovered that Light mechs (any fast mech included) are far easier to hit now? Or have I just missed all the posts??

For one: Thanks dev guys for fixing it (mostly) as has been stated that more fixes are on the way with this "re-winding" business.
I for one, however, must say, demolishing said light (fast) mechs has become far easier, and noticeably at that!!
--- I now no longer have to aim 20 meters ahead of them to hit them.
-- They now, and properly might I add, willingly take any of my shots launched like champs.
-- I have the new found love (re-kindled love at that) of smashing said mechs again.
-- Oh the Joys of happy DAYS!!

Situation 1: (In pre-fix days) My dragon, while chasing lights in that circular pattern, would take substantially more damage from said lights (namely those of the SSRM fashion) While I, in all my attempts to fire at the invisible shadow-like hitbox 20 meters ahead failed 50% of the time. And would slowly fall to pieces.

Post-fix: Said light, with SSRM specialness, while retaining his circular derp-motion, soon realized my shots were melting his armor far beyond his capabilites to damage me. Ahh, to see such a sight as him running with tail tucked firmly between his legs, all gleaming with redness.

More often than not now as well, my alpha strikes meet an unfortunate light with the sound of joyous disaster, most of the time resulting in parts a flying throught the air. A few limbs missing here and there, maybe a torso gone as well.

If you still find yourself having difficulties hitting those pesky light mechs, (see also fast) , well, keep practicing as you no longer have the excuse to whine about not being able to properly hit them.

They only lasted a day, much longer than most "positive" posts do.
Only the contentious and whiny threads last any time.

Probably because there's no issue of contention to keep the threads alive. Everyone posted their "Good job PGI, nice fix kthx" and that was that, nothing else to say.

Meanwhile we still have poorly balanced ECM, broken SSRM, useless machine guns, flamers and NARC and the promised tweaks to heat levels. Naturally it's the squeaky game mechanic that gets the oil. Or doesn't get the oil, depending on your level of patience with PGI.

the thing about the forum system is that threads that stay alive are the ones with most discussion. and those tend to be the most controversial topics. or outright wrong topics, where all of a sudden, everybody feels the need to jump in and say the person is wrong.

there is no place for a thread where everybody agrees with eachother to last long.

same if people are agreeing what a good job PGI did.

Well, sadly Darwin made the No-Lagshgielders disappear and the Strong Lagshielders stay.
Its nothing that frustrating than to put 100, 120, 130 Laser damage into a stationary Light and see it killing you with nothing but a slight yellow colour (and still armor on its body) applied by all this damage that is enough to kill 2 of them.
It feels bad if your weaponry is as effective on them as a doorknocker.
Lets hope the further improvements will fix that once and for all time bcs its very annoying.

When i saw Phil at the NGNG Twitch event shot direct at a Light Mechs leg and actually doing real damage i broke out into tears of joy and i feel that is what i want to have too! :D

I'm very grateful for the netcode improvements PGI has made, it has been significantly better. Having said that, the problem is still far from solved. Just last match I delivered 150+ damage on a cicada and almost none of it registered. It was a GREAT patch, and definitely a step in the right direction, but there's still more work to do.

Awww its a cute fuzzy little animal, because photoshop really brings about your point that much more... Good Job!!

Eh, just thought I would try to lighten up the whiners tension a bit. You know... Since a bit of time has passed and I have thoroughly enjoyed the destruction. Why not? So they know, someone is thinking about them and hoping for further improvements down the road, *Starry eyed* think of the joys that can and shall be had!!

*Cough* ECM is only broke if you arent very perceptive.. Or just rely so very heavily on LRMs/SSRMs.
Hint: Its called thermal.. shhh.. dont tell anyone they might use it!!

ehh... I drive one of those lights. Haven't noticed a difference. Still kill, still get killed; and in roughly the same ratio too.

Really? Wow! Next time a Raven3L tears a Jenner on my team to pieces because he couldn't use the harlem-globe-trotter-360-no-scope-SSRM I'll be sure to let him know he should have used thermal.

ECM is broke because SSRM are broke. That'd be why the 3L and 2D are king. That being said, it's still ridiculously good for the 1.5 tonnes, even if it didn't prevent people using SSRM on you. Why take 1.5 tonnes of AMS when you can take an ECM that not only does the same job, but does it better, does it for everyone around you and does a bunch of other nice things as well?

The team behind the Crysis engine delivered a sub par network code and PGI seems to have made great improvements to said code. Well done Sirs! Fills me with great hope for what the game will be like in the future :-)

Nah uh, us Australians can still complain :P

Whilst they are now actually POSSIBLE to hit, they're still pretty tricky with 250MS
