Looks like a SRM4 in the left arm.

Hard point wise, what are we looking at?

1 RA, 3 RT, 0 CT, 1 LT, 1 LA, 1 H

That would be 7 which is the norm for the Awesome. Of course, it could be 2 RA, 1 RT, 0 CT, 2 LT, 1 LA, 1 H. Either way, that still looks crispy.

While I understand the need to put items/mechs into the game to make money and I'm all for that, and appreciate the part of the team that does the new mechs, I wish there were as many maps out as there are mechs. How long has it been since we've had a truly genuine new map? Another 3 weeks to get a new map? Another month after that for the next map?

So looks like it's hardpoints are:
Head: 1 energy
Right Arm: 2 energy
Right Torso: 2 missile
Left Torso: 1 energy
Left Arm: 1 missile

It's weapon slotting looks identical to the 8V. I wonder where it will differ.

Perhaps more individual slots over what the 8V has plus something bolted onto the left arm and as was mentioned it would have a 340 engine which means it'll be possible to make it faster than the 9M making it the fastest assault in the game.

I think it might be

1 PPC
1 LRM15
1 Large Laser
1 Medium Laser
2 Streak SRM 2

for a total firepower of 61

I got the same thing but went with an SRM4 instead of 2X SSRM2.

TR 3039: Danielle Peterson is the (Davion) pilot, PGI is digging deep for hero mechs.

She was famous for being ridiculously agile in her custom Awesome, which explains the giant engine.

I bet on 1 PPC (RA),1 LRM-15 (RT) 1 LL (LT), 1ML (head) and 1 SRM4 (LA).

EDIT: 10+27+9+5+10 =61. I knew it !

Wow, that's a lot of different types of weapons. No way I'd run that loadout, too much brain strain trying to keep all the weapons cycling properly. I try to keep to three or fewer different weapon types on my mechs.

I wonder what the hardpoints will look like? Best case maybe it has four missile hardpoints and five energy. Its speed will be its best feature, I suspect. Could make a decent striker. Not that we are at any lack of those right now.

You can't actually "Buff" a mech.

That would mean changing armor and other things. If all it needs is an adjustment to the CT then fine, but nothing requires a buff. I've seen awesomes take more punishment then Atlases.

MechWarrior Danielle Peterson
A member of Delmar's assault lance, Tagaki's Battalion of House Davion's Chisholm's Raiders, Danielle does not look the part of a MechWarrior. Blond and beautiful, she has what many of her comrades call "the knack". Though joking and friendly outside of her 'Mech, when Danielle buttons up in her Awesome, she seems to become one with the machine, able to react as if it were her own skin. This has saved her on more than one occasion when surrounded by enemy 'Mechs. In one instance, she literally skipped aside with her Awesome, the Pretty Baby, to avoid an incoming missile strike aimed at her. Danielle is famous throughout the Successor States for her skill in piloting the usually unmaneuverable Awesome."

I have Won a match where all I had was 1 MLas in the Awesomes head, and there were many atlases in that match.

Its all down to piloting. Simple

Odd, the front page image for the left arm looks different. Oh well.

My revised armament guess.

1x PPC/ER PCC - 10 Damage
1x LRM15 - 27 Damage
1x SRM4 - 10 Damage
1x Medium Laser - 5 Damage
1x Large Laser - 9 Damage

It's the only armament combo that adds up properly. (Edit: besides dual SSRM2's)

That's 20 tons for weaponry. If it's a standard engine that 34 tons for the engine, 20.5 for XL which it most likely is. 23.5 tons of armor if it's standard which it most likely will be. I imagine it will come with at least 2 tons of LRM ammo for 24 total shots and the rest of the spare tonnage used for 14 heat sinks. I don't think it will be double as there most likely won't be enough space based on my calculations including the engine there would only be room for 11 double heat sinks (3 in the engine, the rest scattered about the mech).

That's nice, that doesn't mean an Awesome can take more punishment than an Atlas. It can't statistically, it cannot.
