Wont buy a single hero mech till garage slots come with them. And I dont mean increase their MC price and make it look like the slot was free either.

I don't always agree with you Viper, but on this I am 100% with ya. (I also think instead of locked paint schemes, they should come with free customizable skins, since it seems utterly stoopid to me to get in a fight and see 4 YLWs all looking identical running around. Hero mechs are BASED off the Hero's mech, they aren't the actual one. In a universe with fusion driven death machines.. people apparently lost the ability to use spray paint.)

All Awesomes so far have 7 useable hard points. So I assume you are almost spot on but there will be no missle in the LA.
It surely wont have 3 missle in the RT because that would make the 8V obsolete.

Damn I had already forgoten about this, which I consider PGIs greates sin.
Stealing my AH!

In the art, there's the little "Lego Block" SRM4 launcher on the LA. Unless it's just there to distract you from the large cockpit crosshairs on the CT, I'd say there is at least one Missile HP in the LA.

I will be getting this pretty baby myself; I like using the heroes to help master my chasses, and I want to master an assault chassis, but I hate stalkers, and dislike atlai, so.....

LOL, what makes you think you'll like Awesomes? Stalkers and Atlases are less frustrating.

I hate how greedy these P2W games are. I've sunk $120 into the game and using MC only for bays and hero mechs and a month of premium it's gone. That got me 3 mechs and 12 mechbays and a month of premium. For $80 bucks. I would spend money all the time here if the prices were lower. That's a fraction of the content for more than a finished AAA title.

That I think is the issue. The prices are unapologetically high while the software has issues. Hopefully more of the patches will help the way the latest one did. I responded to the poll in the affirmative though because if we have another good patch I'll put some more money into MWO and I'm collecting mechs.

This.

On the one side I like seeing the expense for rarity. If PGI sales are strong, so much the better. But for myself the prices are all still over the top, from paint & Camo to hero mechs.

I see the point that coming down is easier than going up and that the PGI system hits early adopters hard for good revenue, but for the future these prices seem quite heavy

I just can't get past the ugly paint job. Also the price is steep. This is coming from a guy that mastered Awesomes first. I love Awesomes.
Maybe if I could repaint it, then I would consider it, even at the steep price. Untill that happens though, no thanks.

This is the only mech that can fit a XL 400, but it still not worth it because of hardpoint locations which requires 4 fire groups unless you skip a torso or arm weapon. I still think stalkers still out perform any awesome just because of their superior loadout and smaller profile. If PGI release an Hero atlas with 2 ballistic torsos I will buy one.

and much worse acceleration and torso twist speed.

Stalker = Best Boat in MWO,
but also the single most easily flanked mech.

Im not crazy about the paint job but I might still get it. I gave the Awesome a chance a while back and I've had a lot of fun piloting them. My purchase will be based on how high the engine can go, if it can be as fast as the 9M then I will probably buy it. It would also be nice it it was ECM capable since there are a few awesome variants that are known to support ECM.

Making it ECM capable would be a smart move for PGI and would increase its demand and make them some more money, which is why they release them in the first place right?

Anyways I have some hope for it. The last Hero mech i bought was the Yen Lo Wang it is by far my favourite mech so far out of the 20 I own.

Happy Hunting Everyone!

I'll admit I'm the first to vote HELLZZZZZZ NOOOOO!!!!!!
I wouldn't be caught dead running around in a mech called Pretty Baby!

WTF are the devs smoking lately? Pretty Baby? Seriously? Now if its a cannon name then ok but something tells me there is no cannon hero mech called Pretty Baby.

Not to mention they need to make the game "WORK" Before they keep adding this extra **** to the game.

A good 1/3 people after the newest patch have black screens to Mech lab bug Weapon firing is still off on Ballistics etc. This game should have never gone open beta yet. Content should be put on the back burner until the game works correctly and more importantly STABLE!!!

The warping has improved 10 fold. It's everything else that is still screwed.

Sorry to burst your bubble, it's a canon name...

Good Stalker pilots are able to stop flanks before the enemy flanks. They rely on other team members to back them up while stalkers focus fire on high priority targets to reduce enemy mechs quickly. Dead mechs can't shoot back.

this is because i'm OCD, but i dont want to buy this mech because i already bought all the awesomes, and i like them to be next to each other in the mechbay, and to buy this i'd have to put it in the middle of nowhere, or sell and rebuy like 10 mechs.

LET US SORT MECHS IN MECHBAY

LOL!!

I'm the same way. I've actually considered selling some mechs and buying them back as a real expensive sort work around.

I'm sure mech sorting is WAY down on the to-do list, but it'd be nice to see it for sure!

I'd love to get my hands on the priority list that they're working from. How much time was spent on the new overheat/override/powerup functionality? I mean...uh...was it broken? I don't remember ever hearing anyone saying, "If only they'd complicate the power cycling a little more...". The sad thing is that that seemed to be the biggest accomplishment in the last patch.

As far as the pretty baby, I'll probably end up buying the damned thing. Heck, I already sold the mech that was in the slot that I want to sort it into. :P

I started the Cataphract-Set yesterday with the Ilya and the 3D but don't know which one to take as the third. This Mechbay is empty. Three Spiders earlyer there is a free Bay waiting for the Hero Atlas. I haven't started the Awesome-Set yet and time will tell if i do. Like the paint, thou it screams:"shoot me!".

PLEASE, PLEASE PGI, LET US SORT MECHBAYS :D

so actually, it is not good stalker pilots, but stalker pilots on good teams that stop flanking.....

I'll PUG in an awesome over a Stalker any day of the week. Any mech I need to rely on my teammates to support to be effective, is sadly not the correct ride for PUGging. Different Story in 4 and 8 man teams. Though I notice most "great" Stalker pilots are just the guys who min max 6 er ppcs into it.

Yup... I wants it. Firstly, Awesome are nowhere near as "horrible" as people want to think. Especially FAST Awesomes. 68.8 kph makes it the fastest one yet. Love the paint job too, btw. (Yes it's ugly, but good ugly, IMO..... at least he part of it I can see on the home page)
What's more is the varied harpoints look likely to allow for some nice load outs.

Add to that is that "Pretty Baby" is another canon hero mech, taken from the 3025 TRO, much like the Death's Knell, which makes me happy as a fluff guy (and for those who don't care about canon.. it's all good, I don't care about your onion, either! :D ).

So, anyone else gonna pony up for the pretty baby?

And with the head hit boxes seeming to shrink every patch, I feel less and less worry about their "easy" kill factor. Plus, current net code means I ain't worried about those pesky lights anymore!

doesn't matter how fast the mech is if it's an awesome fitting an xl engine it's begging to be have a side torso shredded.

Also you should totally care about my onions. They make pubbie players cry :D

I REALLY hope it has only 1 missile hardpoint in the left torso and 2 on the arm (like the CTF-2X)

Depends on your mind set, I don't run mediums or lights, have all heavies and assaults mastered except for the dragon and the atlas... Grinding the Atlas right now, it is driving me insane, I want to /wrists, stalker grind was a little better, but I am still not wild about that mech... my 9m on the other hand is up to 400k+ mech xp, and that's after using MC to exchange about 70-80k worth from it... I enjoy playing it the most...

I am not saying it's the best mech out there ( not trying to have that argument ), I am just pointing out, that to some people slow *** atlases and stalkers are frustrating as hell... while Aws happens to be fun.
