On one hand you have the PUG'er, who wants a gaming experience devoid of any sort of "structure" or "teamwork" and just wants everything "fair and balanced". They claim that the Premade teams using voice coms are "ruining" their experience and that this game will never survive without the massive amounts of funding that their side can provide.

On the other hand, you have the Premade's, who want a game for which they have been waiting for years, and now that it's finally here, don't want it spoiled by these PUG'ers who are most likely only going to play the game for a few months, tops, until another game comes along that catches their eye. And when they're gone, the hardcore people who have been waiting for this game for a decade are left with the cute and fluffy bunny basher of a game the PUG'ers have turned it into.

So here's where I stand. I will gladly help out anyone that asks, but the people that come on these forums to complain that they got beat by an "unfair" system that they failed to fully grasp, don't need to be here. Yes, this game has a steep learning curve. Yes, there are people that are better at aiming than most. Yes, you will lose, you will die, you will be frustrated and mad at times. What you do about it should determine whether or not you should be playing a game like this or CoD on your console.

I am primarily a PUGer although I do group up some times. I am not calling for a game without structure or teamwork, quite the opposite in fact. I am calling for a game where I have tools, in-game, that I can utilize to coordinate my efforts with fellow PUGs effectively. Such as a commo-rose interface to call targets and other essential battle commands or a working in-game VoIP solution. While I can't use a mic 90% of the time, I could at least listen. Granted I could do that now with TS but considering the hassle, well, it should be in game. A better lobby to coordinate before dropping would be nice too.

I am also calling, at the very least, for a match maker that balances out the matches a bit better. Such as ensuring that there's a premade group on both sides or none at all. It's not asking a lot but some here seem to be violently against that idea. The only reason I can think of why they would be opposed to that is to maintain their easy-mode PUG stomping that they've grown accustomed to.

PUGs aren't all bad. I do quite well even when not in a group..but the lack of in game tools to coordinate is annoying, to say the least. I remain optimistic that PGI will sort all these issues out in time.

For what it's worth.

JSparrowist, you nailed it.

Never teamed up with anyone as I have no chance to use any form of teamspeak due to house rules. But I do enjoy a compact team that moves as one to pursue enemies like there's a plan somewhere in the lines, and as of today in-game comms are so basic I feel I'm typing on a C64... [tun-tun-tiss]
