I know everyone loves screaming and whining but lets at least wait until a feature is in the game before you start foaming at the mouth (Referring to new ECM/PPC effects).

Far too logical. This post has no business on these forums.

These make me laugh.

Engineer: "Hey boss, I think that from looking at these plans, this engine might explode"

Manager: "Well we can't know until we build it and the test driver is on fire"

Your logic is faulty. This is a virtual environment so nothing is at risk, not to mention WE ARE THE TESTERS. So test, THEN you're allowed to complain.

Overly simplified, yes, but not irrelevant. See that little gold shield under your name, see that little shield under mine? That means we're paying customers and therefore have a financial interest in this game. Furthermore, while OUR time could be offset, those who bought time after the founders program could not.

Not to mention, development, testing, release effort, these are not free; they cost a development company a great deal and it's a lot easier to tinker with things in test, than to fix them after they reach live, especially when it comes to foundational mechanics. Then of course there's the question of how many other projects that we don't know about that may depend on this new functionality that might be inherently flawed.

Early discussion can sometimes offset the losses and ill will that may be the result of changes like this. Not to mention it's tyrannical and hypocritical when anyone demands that someone else not discuss a topic on a discussion board.

Personally, I dont think the new stuff will be enough to balance out ECM. But its a start, I suppose.

We don't really need to test it, just need to know the new heat values. Then we can run the numbers and find out if we need to complain.
