Just wondering if the damage done from an ammo explosion I caused is added to my score at the end.
Was getting some DamageDone numbers that were way too high for the number of shots fired.

im guessing that they do because sometimes i get damage numbers over 1k and im like, no..theres no way i fired enough shots to do that much with lasers.

I just tested this a little while ago: a Slugapult (cheesy mech, but really fun once in a while). Dual AC/20's, for 20 points each. I connected a total of 46 rounds with my targets; 44 x 20 comes out to 880 damage...and yet, the scoreboard had me doing over 1,100 damage. The game *must* be counting ammo explosion damage, because I definitely had a few of those delayed-reaction ammo explosion kills...unless I have magic bullets that pass through (and damage) multiple enemies/hit locations or something.

It has been my observation that ammo explosions are counted as damage done.
I did over 1100 points of damage on my founders hunchie yesterday and one of the kills was a delayed kill on a stalker. only way possible was from an ammo explosion.

Ah. ty. Was wondering about the delayed kills also. Sometimes a mech will explode like 5 sec after I shot it and I get the kill credit.

On a slightly related issue: Does damage from FF get subtracted or added or is it completely left out of the calculation?

this is why they need to make ammo explosions more apparent in game, give them distincitive explosions and graphics!

I just had one of those games where both teams decide to "go left" and end up completely missing each other, except in this case the opposing force had one rambo that ran into our entire group alone.
I group-fired my triple AC5s exactly one time, hitting and destroying the side torso on an HBK-4SP. I expected to have 15 damage at the end of match screen, but I actually had 56 (which was the second-highest damage for the whole match, bleh.)
So yes, ammo explosions would appear to count toward total damage done.

I agree they must count, the same way a delayed kill due to ammo explosions counts as a kill.

If your close enough to the mech you can hear its ammo cooking off, and you will see a delay in the time you hit the ammo pack and the mech actually explodes. It sounds like something between popcorn popping and an old car engine trying to stop... Clunking to a stop and then POP, as the mech bursts.

I demand more explosions. Bigger booms based on how much ammo there is.

Something does. I've done over 1100 damage with my Gaussapult before, and it only carries 6 tons of ammo (and no backup weapons).
60 * 15 = 900 potential damage.
I have always assumed that the extra damage reported was from ammo explosions that I caused.

I haven't seen anybody test this, but do ammo explosions have spray damage to other nearby mechs? That's a mechanic that I really want to see implemented.
