The need for a self distruct button is a humane and ethical way to end a bad match.. your team is typicly a PUG that does not stick together, or communicate, and, fir instance, you scout the 'cave' in which you report several enemy coming through, so they ignore you, 3 min later everyone on your PUG is dead anywy..

its just more merciful to hit the SELF DISTRUCT BUTTON! FOR GOD SAKE!

Or you could just charge and go out in a blaze of glorious futility.

with the current economy system, it would be preferable to run out guns blazin' and try to collect as much damage as possible, even without any hope of success. Damage is money.

I think it would be better to have the win conditions altered. Right now if the clock reaches zero, it is a draw, no matter the situation on the battlefield.

I think if your team is down one to seven, and your base has been partially captured. I think then you should lose, not get a draw.

Sure self destruct would be fine if you got no money for doing it, or you could loose money and experience. otherwise let the farming begin.

It would nicely solve the 'splat cat' face hugger problem. All alone and faced with two splat cats blow your reactor and take them both with you..

I can see it now; newcomers pressing ALL the buttons trying to work out the controls, and then BAM self destruct

The forum buthurt would be magnificent

Blaze of glory, definately blaze of glory.

You could be surprised how well one can do in a last stand situation. Sometimes those last stands can turn into a victory, and when that happens, well, bragging rights ^_^

You don't need a self-destruct button, you need to get into a team and get out of those horrible pugs.

The greatest captain of all can take win with even a mutinous crew. Never give up. Even If a guy is trying to TK you thats just called an even fight.

We all just playing right now I think when factions, planets and loyalty points comes folks will get more "serious".

Since you got no confirmation you prob assuming your ignored.

You can help a bit with more confirmations on your part it could start a trend. more rgr & cc.

I hear folks say upper or lower on river city, I didn't hear that two months ago. People are learning.......pssstt everyone is still a noob. ^_^

It doesnt need simplifying until they fix the horrible waiting for mech to return...

as it is now u can be the last man standing and pull a ******* eject and by the time u get logged back in ur mechs still in game.

The sell destruct button is already implemented in the form of laggy 3L's on the other team.

First, if you are going to turn tail and run at the first sign of trouble, why bother in the first place.

Second, I could not see any possible way this could be abused... ^_^

Good idea, but only if the reactor goes critical... that way even de-armed mechs can have a strategic game play effect in the remainder of the match.
