Weapons:3x SSRM2 ( 2x in RA / 1x CT ) 3x SSRM Ammo ( 1x LL / 1x CT / 1x HD ) 1xECM ( 1xRL )
Heat Sinks: 7.5 Engine + 2 Single HS (RT, LT)
Armor: 178 points
Head: 18
Center Torso: 16
Center Torso (Rear): 16
Right Torso: 12
Right Torso (Rear): 12
Left Torso: 12
Left Torso (Rear): 12
Right Arm: 16
Left Arm: 16
Right Leg: 24
Left Leg: 24

Got everything you need for being annoying for heavy / assault and kill light ( even Jenner ) with a ECM you can't be target by SSRM / LRM, the COM Chassis make you a pain to being targeted, you can counter enemy ECM so you can't realy be shutdown ( remember the primary aim of this build is to kill Light / chase weakened target ) i got minimum 500 damage in " normal " games and 900+ if i got some luck.

Alternative build for playing with a team : drop 1 tons of SSRM Ammo in the LL and pick a TAG in the LA.

Tips : Do it from behind, always.

Watch out for 3L ravens and 3x ssrm2 DDC's. they'll outcheese you.

It's still a risk, but i have never loose a duel VS a 3L Ravens.

I guess with your 1.5 times the ssrm dps and their 40% more armor you should win as long as they dont hit you with lasers.

Almost exactly what I have, except I have 1 less ton of ammo, and run a ML instead. That way you can still do something if you get out ECM'd and you have the option for a TAG as well.

True, i'm trusting into my pilot skill to " dodge " laser, sometime it work, sometime not xD

i find the 195 xl engine to be better, as then you dont have to run FF and can switch to double HS with a ML. the difference between 195 and 200 is 1.5 tons for 3 kph (although 1t will have to be used for a DHS to get the minimum 10)

SHS is okay for 3 streaks, but will overheat if you have the ML.

I run the same but with a 210xl engine (136kmph) and tag on the left arm.

How do you fit everything with a 210? It seems like you would have to sacrifice armor or ammo to make it all work.

Got 2 tons ammo.

19 armour on the legs, 14 head, 0 left arm (if I lose tag doesn't matter much), hasn't been a problem.

Also another option is to go streaks + AMS. That way you can set ECM to counter against other lights and still have LRM protection. Running at full spend you delay the missiles hitting you long enough for the AMS to destroy all or most of them, it's an interesting build.

Nevermind, i got destroyed 2 time by a Raven with MLP :x

I'll stick with hunting jenner spider and back of Assault xD

Oh, and Crawford, it's not a good ideer, like realy bad to put 0 armour somewhere, if they destroy it they will damage the internal and litteraly blow you upp in a sec.

Internal of what, the arm? it's fodder if I lose it and I just twist to not to expose my side when I do lose it. Worth the extra speed and ammo imo. My build actually has higher torso armour than the one you listed. Down to play style I guess.

Can't do anything to overheated/shutdown mechs(without Beagle Active Probe), I carry 1 laser for that reason.

Bump.

This seems to be the metagame choice to kill 3Ls (maybe just FOTM pilots? :D). I only fear a JR7-F with a good pilot and JJ, but doesn't seem to be often I run into this. The disadvantage of 2D vs 3L is that the 3L can actually hurt a heavy if ignored, while the 2D can't do much but waste SSRM ammo.

I'm running DHS, 200xl, ML, 2tonsSSRM. Would love to fit AMS but can't find a way to do it. I'd happily downgrade the ML to SL, but I don't see the point unless I downgrade to SHS to get FF. Good luck on caldera if you do this... Mbe go 210xl and drop the laser? I'd prefer not.

Also, TAG is pointless, definitely don't waste a ton on it.

What do you think? Any better builds? Best capper in the game?

Biggest disadvantage: LEVELING THE OTHER VARIANTS :P
