ähmmm.... nobody really answers my primary question. are the few of you that use double ac configs in a state where they can fire BOTH ac´s with ONE click? me no more. first dual ac10 config was my cphract, and i was able to shoot both ac´s with one click. these days i can´t anymore. must click, ac10 1 and lasers fire, but i must click a second time to release my second ac. doesnt matter if i stay on mouse or make a doubleclick, theres always a delay before i can fire the second ac. by that way, they never fire synchronous this way, BUT i see people that DO this. so whats my fault? is it an connection problem? got most times a ping of 120ms with an 25Mbit DSL line through sitting in ME.

With the lagshield fixes the LBX has become less viable. I used it as a light hunter because the lights were so hard to hit but since the fixes it is easier to hit them. I did load my Ilya with 3 of them (it only ran 33 kph)and it was very entertaining to use. Not very effective. When you fired all 3 at once it made the other mech look like a fireworks display! I wish I had a screenshot of the shot I did on an Atlas... It was priceless! I am sure it was blinding as heck especially when fired individually. I popped the Atlas with three alphas before the Atlas destroyed me. I dubbed it Urbie.

Make sure your weapons groups are set right and chainfire is off. I run 2 uac/5 on on my Ilya and both fire at the same time with one click when they are on the same weapon group and chain fire is off.

Some mechs, like the AS7D Atlas, have 2 Balistics slots in a section, but only a single barrel, so even if set to alpha, the guns chain fire since both can't use the barrel at the same time, similar to how 2 SRM6s on an Atlas chain fire in 2 volleys of 6 rather then one great big shot of 12.

No, I use dual LBX on my D-DC and they fire as a single shot. Likewise, plenty of mechs have single barrels firing multiple weapons. Hunchback-G can fire 3 guns out of the hump barrel. CTF-4X has 1 big barrel on each arm, but the most common loadouts use 2x AC of some sorts in each. The Flame has 1 energy barrel on each arm, but can fire 2 LL out of each, looking like a single beam from each arm. Those are just the ones that jump to mind, and they all fire simultaneously. I'm pretty sure only missiles have the visible number of tubes affect gameplay. I think he must have it on chainfire.
OP: If there's black squares running down the line of your weapon group, then it's set to chainfire, firing one at a time in sequence. Use the left/right arrows to select that weapon group and hit [backspace] to turn off chainfire.
As for the UAC5's firing constantly, that's simply because if you hold down the button they will double-fire like Ulatra Autocannons are supposed to. If you continue to hold the button down until they cycle, they will fire again, and keep repeating until you aren't holding the button anymore. All weapons work that way. UAC5's just have the double-shot, combined with a fast rate of fire (1.1 second cooldown), so they are more obvious than most.
