Hail fellow clanners,

To begin I don't want to hear the cries of "that's not cannon" because by assisting my fellow clansmen with their history I have essentially stepped outside of the cannon realm and created a brand new just-made clan, Could it be complete BS and made up? Sure. But in the Battletech Universe who is to say that there weren't many worlds that had small clans that were never heard of because of their miniscule nature even into the current time of the Battletech Universe? What makes the clan a clan? Does everyone need to know the name of a clan to know it exists? Anyway...
My Clan is Clan Snow Wolf, we were a detachment from the 9th Wolf Guard Striker Cluster, during the impending Clan Invasion we disagreed with the thought of needing to crush the Inner Sphere completely to rebuild it and due to our Warden/Crusader mindset we decided to abstain from the fight deciding it was not our fight. We moved along side other splinter groups who coalesced into Clan Wolf in Exile (soon to be). Our clan took refuge on the nearby planet of Wroclaw and have been training and living here peacefully ever since. We have remained in silence watching the fight in the Inner Sphere for some time now and will continue to defend our decision to honorably abstain from a fight which was not ours to fight. AS a matter of fact qultar we did make up clan snow wolf and we are not going to be changing to a merc corps. Tha fact of the matter is that Clan Snow Wolf is a legitimized clan by means of the cannon storyline already in progress in 3050 is when Clan Wolf in Exile breaks away from Clan Wolf at the Tukayyid conflict, which ends in a peace treaty and a denial of the invasion of the clans. With this break away who is to say that other's with a "this is not our fight mentality" would simply throw in with WIE? Who is to say that other splinter groups did not form and followed the clannar mindset and lifestyle? And who can say then that such splinter clans (like Clan Snow Wolf) are not clans but merc groups? We follow the honorable way of the clan and act as such giving honor where it is due and doling out righteous fury upon those who would break the honor system of the Mechwarrior Clans, The Zellbrigen. So if you don't like the fact that we have created a clan with cannon story and logic to back it up, that is too bad for you. We are here to stay, We are Clan Snow Wolf.

Say what you want about Snow Wolf's lack of documented history, but I have run with and against these guys on numerous occasions. Snow Wolf plays hard and works as a team.They have my respect and the respect of the 7th as well.

I say that Clan Snow Wolf is a splinter Clan, i.e. it is not documented, However using logical deduction, clearly lacking in your own faculties (brain power) or you would have deduced (figured) the line of thought I was traveling along, There would have been many splinter groups after the breakdown in the CANNON of the storyline in the Mechwarrior universe. These splinter groups off of Clan WOLF would not ALL coalesce (that means join together) into Clan Wolf - In - Exile. In other words following common sense I have declared that Clan Snow Wolf though previously undocumented is now a Clan and that Khan Perseus Pax is our leader. Take your chalcas quips elsewhere and enjoy trolling other posts.

I don't understand why the community would not want to support a new unit and its diverging story. M3atloaf, qultar, you guys need to realize that the MWO universe is meant to be played around with. Originally Mech Warrior was a table top and role playing game. You made you own story, you own universe. It's called creative license. Embrace it and learn to love it.

Greetings Snow Wolf. Unfortunately, despite your flavorful lore additions, it does not change the fact that your clan is not canon. Canonicity can only be determined by regulated licensed sources, and this is something we cannot change.

However, the game is not strictly RP and many of the things we do in this game are non cannon, so it should have no impact on your operations or existence, aside from the fact that you will not be able to take a legitimate spot as an independent clan during the invasion. You'll likely be able to operate as a unit within Clan Wolf though.

We will likely see Clan Fluffy Bunnies or Clan Friendship Ponies in the future, but so what? We're already seeing plenty of solid non-canon merc units, who will likely go on to change the map in Community Warfare. That won't be canon either.

Anyway, good luck with your clan, but I wouldn't be too shocked if other clans did not recognize your status as more than a merc group, but that shouldn't discourage you... Prove you're a clanner through skill, and you will be acknowledged.

Thank you Centagon. That is kind of the point we are trying to make. We're not really concerned with cannon, we mostly created this clan because we wanted to avoid the ******** that would go along with being a cannon clan. You know the argument that our group is not the real clan Jade Wolf but some other group is.

We created Clan Snow Wolf because it was a unit that would be in line with cannon without being involved in any of the arguments or fights over who is the legitimate Clan.

We were honestly hoping for a little more support from the community reguardless of whether we are cannon or not. We hope to have a positive effect on community warfare and we look foreward to kicking clan Jade Wolf's ***.

We're all going to be units and mercs for those of us who chose to play clanner anyway, as I imagine the Clans will be "owned" by the Devs just as the Houses. So...well met CSW.

Thanks for the sentiment but there are methods in which former Non-Clans can be made Clans in the same way that the non-existent Clan Wolf-in-Exile came to being. If this issue keeps coming up rather than really keep up the flame war I will take the steps required to make Clan Snow Wolf a true clan, if it comes to that here then so be it. If others will not accept a fellow clan out of some highborn sense of superiority then they can take their chalcas comments and keep it to themselves. The clans may not like each other or even agree on the Word of Kerensky but in the end WE ARE ALL CLANS. If we do not stand together, we will fall divided.

I have absolutely no issue with non-canon clans being around at all. Please just get your story straight from the start and stick to it... not say one thing and totally contradict yourself less than a day later. You are either one thing, or the other. Welcome to the fray by all means but at least set your story and stick to it.

Jade Wolf lasted more then 19days as they just went back to Wolf
they at lest are a cannon clan and are one of the 4 starting clans
