One way or another, the questions they asked will help them get the people they want/need for the beta, and that's all that counts!

Fury was only slightly off with his comments on what the beta phases are. Distribute, make it run, debug, balance and release is a rough outline on how betas progress.

I know this, been in plenty of betas, some closed most open. My point is the questions asked here and the lack of.

But why not ask what prior games I have beta tested? This should be something they would want to know, yes?

I played all MW games, and have a decent knowledge of BT. But who is to say some random guy, who has no knowledge of BT or MW click on each box just to get into beta?

I know how beta works. Close beta is to get the game to work. Find the game breaking bugs and balance issues. Open beta is more a stress test of the servers, and finding minor bugs that may have past closed beta.

Why would they care what games you tested before?
It has no meaning to them...
What may be important to them is whether you have actually participated in a beta before, which I believe they actually asked.
Even how many games you tested isn't important, as that tells them nothing about your abilities as a tester.
The only usefull information they can get by asking multiple-choice questions, and without talking to you personally, is whether you have any experience with this at all...

Why do you think your knowledge of BT makes you particularily suited to be a beta tester?
Maybe they are even specifically looking for people with few knowledge of BT, there are various reasons this is more likely...

have you been a part of an beta program? Yep, well, thats all they need to know there, do you play game X online? Well, some of those games may have a resemblence to parts of this game... Whats the use asking if you play shattered galaxy, or shadowops, or something that has no bearing on any part of this game, aside from being MMO (though, curious why nexon's maple story was in there...)
how good is your btech lore? Well, thats easy, they need people from all groups there, because they need to know how each will respond to the game (weather its accessable for people with no btech background, and doesn't stomp all over diehards lore)
the thing I find amusing is that people think saying a true answer will lessen their chances at getting in.
in reality, if you lie, you're only doing harm to PGI by not giving them the cross section of players they need to test the game, (and if I was PGI, I would have put in an anti-donkey voting system, ie: people whoticked every possible box would have their chances lessened)

Games I testes before means alot. Weather its MMORPG or FPS to an other type game. They would want to know my experience in these games through the years.

You miss took my post. I am no BT wizard, just have some knowledge of it. What I was trying to say, is some random gamer seeing the current beta questioner and basically clicking each box just to get in.
My thread was basically to let the Devs know their beta entry and questions were very basic, and should be improved for the next phase.

The type of game, at least in my opinion, has very little to do with your abilities as a beta tester..just knowing you have experience provides them the same level of knowledge about how good of a tester you are..which is to say..none.
Short of PGI trying to "check your references" about past beta tests...there is no way for them to know how good of a tester you were in previous games.

and if they put in a disclosure agreement with the beta Then media tards will see some time in court. it's a very simple set of questions and it's there so they can find minor information about the people they're recruiting

As an example: "Lets take X% who have tested before, Y% who haven't. Of those, split em between who has knowledge of the franchise and who doesn't. That will give us a sampling of how the game functions over a wide spectrum of players."
Details about specific games isn't very relevant. And games they listed could have features in common. Might just have been the first couple they thought up. Odds don't really improve by ticking off every box if this is their mentality about it.

Do you realise how presumptuous that statement is?
Obviously they don't want/need to know, otherwise they would have asked for that information.
As I, and some others have already pointed out, it doesn't provide them with any relevant information.

I don't think I mistook your post. If your, or anyones knowledge of BT doesn't have anything to do with your argument, then why did you bring it up in the first place. Whether you intented that or not, your original statement implies that you "know" you have picked the right answers. And picking your answers based on what you think will improve your chances of being invited is just as much as a gamble as answering honestly, no one knows what kind of person they are looking for...
Finally, excuse me, but you're being presumtuous again... Who are you to decide that those questions need to be improved?
Whether the questions they asked will get them the testers they want or not, is their's to decide, not yours just because you weren't invited...
