I was looking around but i didnt see any info on the founders battle mech. any clue as to what mech it is and or what class it will be. It make a real differnce between playing the $60 and the $30 for the founders starter package

well if its one of thouse four mechs i've never been realy impressed by them as the Atlas is just a big walking target its slow easy to get behind and take down and its kinda ugly to look at. the Jenner is just the ugly duckling of mechs but its got some deent fire power for a light mech. Ive never been impressed with the catapult as they are kinda usless when you get up close and personal with them. and the Hunchback is a good mech but its got some limitations as its a short to medium range mech so if you stay at a distance you can pound it to death unless you take out that AC 20 but then it loses its big stick.. I still may go for the $60 package ill probably end up in the ugly duck hunting Atlas from behind

Yeah, lucky me... I was planning on getting the Hunchback as my main ride and getting the Founder's pack. Guess I know my pick.

You know you can take off the missiles on the Catapult and switch them for other weapons, right?

I'm personally hoping come the 19th of June they will have more specific information about the variants available.

You can't turn the C1 into a K2

You can pretty much just trade between LRM to SRM.

They have stated there will be a couple variants, within reason of course. As long as the hardpoints support the weapons you may be able to make the variants you know and love

Going catty myself reminds me of the IBS Catapult which was slimmer and more birdlike.

The chances of seeing an Atlas II are slim to none

"In 2785, when General Aleksandr Kerensky put out his call for loyal forces to join him in his Exodus, every Atlas II pilot responded and left with him, leaving none of these designs behind. These 'Mechs are prized by the Clans when they were found. One such 'Mech was spotted in 3052 during the Battle of Tukayyid."

Sounds a bit like a legend to me. Considering how big the Inner Sphere is there could easily be a half a dozen of the things lying around, abandoned and forgotten.

doesnt matter, you can take out the ac 20 and put in a lbx 10/ac5/gauss rifle. you can change the srm 6 to an lrm, or change the lrm 20 to another srm. you can swap med lasers out for large, might even be able to fit ppcs in the arms. the stock atlas is supremely adaptable.

as per someone saying its an easy target, anything is an easy target if the pilots a moron, but an atlas in the hands of a skilled veteran is a fortress that will annihilate all that do not respect it.

regular atlas can fit the lbx 10, lrm 20, srm 6, 2 large lasers and 2 med lasers with current confirmed in game gear.

So in short... why include the Atlas II if you can make the loadout from scratch?

which didn't happen until the 3070's due to Word of Blake Jihadists

which would bring the timescaling question into mind.....

so ima just take my founder inception pack atlas, swap the ac 20 for lbx 10, upgrade arm lasers from med to large, swap med torso lasers for pulse, and walla, atlas 2 weapons load.

honestly i dont like that loadout that much, i prefer 3 large lasers, gauss rifle lrm 20 and more heat sinks in place of the srm6 and its ammo.

I'd get the elite package just to support game development, it's easy to forget just how much time and money you need to pour into a project like this before you can even start to turn a profit. ( Also I think the game will be well worth the $60 for the elite package, even if it is f2p and you can get most of the stuff without spending money. )
