These were released yesterday. Anyone had a chance to test these out with Mechwarrior: Online?

Do they bring some performance to the table?

Will install and test later, hopefully some of the glitches will be fixed.

I'll install it later and do some comparative benchmarks vs 13.1 as well.

The 13.2 beta3 drivers seem to specifically adress Crysis3, so that the players can enjoy the beta. Nvidia, as a development partner for the game, has a bit of a headstart there.

Doesnt MWO run on Cryengine3, as such wouldnt it benefit from drivers that are designed for that game engine?

Yes, Crysis 3 does run no CE3, but so does Crysis 2, so driver-developers have been making drivers for this engine for awhile. However, that doesn't mean that there aren't enhancements that would benefit CE3 in general, so Crysis 2 and MWO may still benefit.

In fact, we know Cryengine 3 is getting general performance enhancements in some ways, because Crysis 2 Crossfire scaling has been boosted by another 10%. Will there be gains for single-card users, or even a general performance enhancement for all games from these drivers? I'll let you guys know in about 10 minutes

Sapphire TRIXX is tweaking out right now; will get back to you soon with 3dmark and MWO benchmarks

Hope you have a better experience with them than I did [granted, i'm on a notebook and not running SLI] but I actually LOST 10-15 FPS trying these drivers.

Which driver did you upgrade from?

Well no differences in terms of measured fps, in general, or for MWO. I was going to post the numbers from the benchmarks, but since it's exactly the same I won't bother (and 3dmark's P-GPU was just 9850 for both drivers).

Still, this is a very welcome driver release. The frame draw time issue was something I was noticing in Skyrim, so that's good to get rid of. Beyond that, I don't think this driver will differ notably from 13.1.

I updated and after a few games this afternoon MWO corrupted so have had to reinstall, it was crashing almost immediately as the game started.

Uhhh...you were comparing an nVidia driver versus an AMD driver? Does not compute.

OH SH**! Wrong THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeesh!!!

Nvidia just released a beta driver at the exact same time, and [I thought] for almost the exact same reason!

/facepalm

I thought the new AMD catalyst drivers were to combat the FPS latency issue that was just discovered last DEC or so??

(well, shoot, now I wish I were at home so I could get these on my desktop and see how they work >< )

PS: here's the thread I confused this one with. . just so y'all don't think I'm crazy

Yeah, 13.2 is mostly here to improve Crossfire performance and fix a latency issue. It definitely succeeds on the latter. As I said, the issue was very pronounced in Skyrim, with the game often appearing somewhat "jittery", despite continued insistence by Fraps that I was running at exactly 60fps, all the time.

Catalyst 13.2 beta 4 runs great for me and gave me a significant imrpovement of 5 to 10 FPS on my ATI 6950.
