We did some testing on AC20 ammo explosions. If the ammo was in an arm, it could explode and transfer to the torso and from the torso to CT. However, we tested several times with AC20 in the legs, and it did not explode (thus no transfer of dmg to torso). I understand that its only a chance to crit the ammo, which is why we repeated the test, and used a mix of medium lasers and gauss shots. Every time, only the leg would blow off, but no ammo explosions.
Further, we also had a situation where a person got messages and could hear the sound for ammo explosions (SRM and AC20 ammo) in the left arm (on a DDC), and yet the arm exploded, but only a small amount of dmg transferred to the left torso. Not nearly as much as should have.
