Pretty straight forward, shows up in lots of other games. I would love to just have a config file somewhere that I could have things like thus:

bind "num_0" = say_team "Enemy attacking base"
bind "num_1" = say_team "Enemy ECM flanking"

etc, etc.

You can do this with Autohotkey. What you can't do, and what I would like to see is the ability to add things like

bind "num_0" = say_team "Targeting %EnemyType% %EnemyDesignation% in %EnemyGridSquare%"
bind "num_1" = say_team "Headed for %AheadWaypoint%""

And so on, with a rich set of useful in game data that can be applied to the macro like target letter, chassis, position, user position, waypoints, etc. That'd be much more useful and would actually need to be integrated into the game.

I'm setting the bar low to start. Players shouldn't need to run another piece of software to emulate functionality that was in Quake 1.
