I play this build a lot. I love the Dragon-5N, and after playing with the mech since closed beta, this is the best I've gotten it. Though I did have a really nice build, which included a Gauss and two LL's until this current one was suggested and I started playing with it.
There's room to move ammo about, but you can't squeeze any more DHSs in there due to the structure slots from the FF and ES. Also to note is that I played with the armor balance on the CT and Side Torso bits a little. I don't like getting snuck up on lights and opened up so quick, so I altered that balance slightly. Still playing around with that, but everything else is solid. I can brawl Assault mechs with it if the terrain is right, otherwise I skim around at a smooth 89KPH(Speed tweak) and pop anything smaller than an Atlas without sustaining too much damage.

300 XL Engine with 2 additional dual heatsinks gives you 28 tonnes to play with on the dragon.
This means you can barely squeeze in the third AC2 if so desired, but I tried that and it's pretty underwhelming.
Not to mention, heat efficiency plummets.
The best thing on the 5N is that the laser slots are both in the arm, allowing to aim them precisely. I had good fun with a dual large laser and dual MPLAS on that spot myself.
The main problem here is to utilize the triple ballistic slot in a meaningful way. I tried that and eventually gave up. Sucks not being able to utilize the main selling point of the chassis. Machine Guns are good for laughs, AC2 don't seem like they offer a good bang for the 6 tons they eat up.
I would consider upgrading to dual AC5 (downgrading the large laser if needed) for a bit more punch and ammo efficiency, but you may have that on other dragons. UAC5 + AC5 looks cool on paper, but the big disadvantage is that you need to get ammo for them separately.

Thanks for the replies,
Honestly I have no problems with the 2x AC/2s. They DPS out quite well, considering their high rate of fire. I can usually land most shots while skimming between cover or while circling. I use the other tonnage for missiles, because right now they do a helluva lot of damage for their weight-damage ratio and it's always good, imo, to have something in the chest on a Dragon.

I used it like this:

Then I sold it.. 1N and 1C are way superior at least how I play them

I use 2 AC/5s and 2 mediums, I find its much more effective at getting killshots on a wider variety of mechs. The with AC 2 builds I generally was relying on finding Catapult and heavier mechs. I recommend give AC5s a shot.
Anyone who says the 5N is weaker than the 1N is dreaming! Or at least differing in opinion. I crush in my 5N
