How do you get with others who want to form a team and work together via voice? I have C3 and Ventrillo and have no objection to running Teamspeak, and am familiar with coordinated attacks with voice in other games. And the ambushes I've been the ambushee in lately make it evident that that is the way to go. Is there a website? A waiting room? What?

I would be direct and fish out various links. However, I can just simply redirect you to here:

To the best of my knowledge (which is limited).. in the main game launcher screen, bottom right, is a "social button". If you click that you can add friends to your account. There's a "group" tab in there and at the bottom of that pane/panel is a button to "make group". I've not gone in that yet, but I'm presuming you add people from your friends list to a group so you can drop together.
That said, I'd guess you get their pilot names while in TS or Vent or whatever, add them as friends, someone makes a group and adds you in, then someone launches (probably the group leader?).
Sorry I can't be more help.. I've not done any grouping as of yet.

Pat- there are two aspects to your question one being the social aspect (which seems more of what you are asking) and the technical aspect. Both aspects covered by Koni and Cmdr...
The Social aspect Koni covered, most TS servers have a "looking for group" channel in them, sign into one of the servers listed in his link (the comstar and NGNG Outreach servers are the more popular I believe). Once in there usualy someone will hop in and say something to the effect of "looking for one more in dropship xxxx" then just hop down to their drop ship.
Then the technical part that Cmdr mentions comes into play, the leader will either add you to his friends list or they will ask you to add the leader to yours (achived through the social panel/button in the lower right). Once you have added or been added as a friend then they will send you a group invite which will make an invite tab flash in the social panel. Go there click the invite then click the accept button that appears at the bottom. You are now in the group, then when you are ready to launch go to the group tab and click your name to switch to a ready status (or you can click the big ready/launch button at the top)

Thanks for the advice. It was the social aspect I needed. I joined C3 and did a search for Mechwarrior and found a lot of teams listed, but no one was on them. No players. I'll take a shot at downloading teamspeak and finding a looking for group room.

Keep it up, you'll find people. There are a lot of people on those TS servers. Just keep looking around the net and you'll find the right fit.
