Positive, if he was at an angle, we would have been circling each other, his leg/torso orientation was clear to see at the time, I was maybe 40 meters from him

Could have been a model bug?

Because, I mean, I've seen some really, really odd bugs in the past, and ones that I'd never experienced before.

This is why I was not on the forum screaming cheat/hack. But what still makes me wonder was his ability to fire every weapon at me like this.
This is why I personaly believe PGI shouldn't add any more content until whats broken is fixed, otherwise we just get a bunch of broken content. We all know when something new is implemented it is bound to be buggy, so why make issues worse by not cleaning up what we have. Adding content before the current stuff is fixed is just going to lead to more disgruntled posts.

Well, having a guy like Vlad Ward in my corp puts these things into perspective. His entire lance runs 64 kp/h Assault mechs.

They're very scary, and they get into position faster than one might realize.

Not saying it couldn't have been a hack (anything is possible), but max speed Assault mechs move faster than you might think. Its one thing to see a Hunchback moving that speed, but its another to see a 100 ton behemoth moving like that.

I'm sure! I'm not making any claims, and have no evidence, but I just remember that Atlas getting into position at a pace I had never seen before, as a 54kph Atlas pilot.

I've once had an Atlas (and his whole team) seem to "jump" onto our spawn point before our fasts could even get half way across the map. Made a post about it and no one else seemed to notice it. Only happened the once though.

Call it a bug. About the best I can suggest. Probably won't see it again.
