Several ideas around how to furhter improve rewards based on game play. All reward numbers are simply a starting point, they could be adjusted in any way the development team deems appropraite. The ideas do not need to be taken as a package, each could be implemented or not implemented based on the development teams thoughts on design and ballance.
  • Provide a reward (say 5k cbills and 100 pilot experience) for being alive at the end of a match. This reward should be enough to make it well worth staying in game and not discoonecting to start up a second match quickly.
  • Bring back R&R but with the following guidlines in the next two bullet points.
  • Repair can cost up to 10k, that cost is based on the % of the total mech that had to be repaired. If 80% of the mech was destroyed it costs 8k to repair taht mech. Some upgrades would increase the maximum costs, Artimis adds 1k, Farris Fiber 1k, Endo Steal 2k so that a fully upgraded mech would never cost more than 15k to repair, reguardless of size or weight and the repair costs would be based solely on what equipment you have and how shot up you are at the end of the battle.
  • Rearm: This has a cost per ton that needs to be reloaded. The cap cost for any mech is say 3k, but the only things that should reach this level of cost would be ammunition heavy mechs. maybe a cost of 250 cbills per ton reloaded. Most mechs would never hit the cap, but the LRM boat would not be totally beat up for having a large amount of ammo.
  • Provide a 5k cbill rewards (and 50 pilot experience) for capturing a point (in either game format)
  • Provide an additional 10k reward to the winning team.
  • Provide a -5k penalty to the loosing team.
  • Provide a -15k penalty to any mech that does not do any damage, take any damage or capture any points. Lack of activity should have a good penalty.
Ulitmately I would like to see not getting killed have a reward, R&R return to have some costs for the best upgrades and for getting all shot up, some kind of reward for point capture, winning and some kind of penalty for loosing and in particular some kind of penalty for not participating at all. These ideas accomplish all that, but the numbers will likely need some tweeking.
