you have found the perfect position and suddenly an enemy mech sticks his head out..... you line up your shot perfectly and pull triggers on you AC20s knowing he is dead inside of 2 seconds. No way he can survive this
..................
And there goes the quad banks of SRMs that you forgot you were carrying as you had just swapped from your K2 to the A1
DOH!!!!!!!!

God yes. Sometimes it is not even because it has that much of a different loadout. It has mostly the same weapons with the firing group shuffled around. Big oops when I go to fire my guass rifle at a 'Mech 500 meters out and ... Streaks away! Doh gauss is group two instead of group three on this 'Mech.

There was that one time I fired LRM's at the enemy team by accident. I'm sorry enemy team for ruining your outer armour. I thought I was using my K2 with ppc's.

Or, some jack hole on your team runs right in front of you and gets his rear armor ripped off, then he yells at you.

Several times. targeted UAC/5 cannons on a overheated mech only to find out the wrong ammo was loaded.
At least once did wonder why the LRM was not locking until SRM ammo was discovered.

No, for me it's forgetting I swapped from SRMs to LRMs on the Atlas, lining up for a perfect Alpha, and watching all those blankety blank LRMs bouncing off somebody's back at 30 meters while 4 MLs do... some damage.
