I'm interested about this as well. I didn't spend MC on paint, but I spent a fair bit of c-bills on basic colors.


Also.... it sounds like the "basic" colors will still be available for c-bills, but are a permanent unlock?

I like this format and the expanded camo options! Those example pictures in the post were awesome and this looks to be much higher quality than what we have been using. I will actually **** my mech now lol

Side note: Anyone else think "Jade Falcon" when they saw that Green Cataphract?

This, as I have spend a few million in c-bills for the basic paint.

Since I was expecting the exact pricing that is now taking effect for color customization I have no problems with it. Its actually no different then how PS2 does colors. Its a small fee for a single use and 10x that for a permanent unlock. Sure there are some that will complain about the new prices, but most are going to enjoy this a lot. Like me!! Thanks PGI. Too bad this meens more time in mechlab tinkering lol.

In my mind this is really a win-win for both the community and PGI.

You can buy paints and patterns knowing that if it doesn't work out you can always change your mind without feeling like you just wasted money. I also believe that PGI will make more money this way because people will be willing to unlock more paints now that they are permanent.

To some of us, who like to not run around in olive green mechs... this is very relevant content. As well it will allow Units to have similar colour schemes.
