Ecm Comando Is Op?

Results 18 wins, 2 loses. In any match we had at least 1 kill each, including matches we lost. In 2/3 of matches we had 4-6 kills for 2 Commando with up to 4 kills for 1 Commando in match. Also we had about 400 damage each match.
In total I done about 40 kills with only 2 death.
I see that such situation is something totally wrong. It looks like that Commando is totally overpowered or there are a lot of very bad players around. My personal K/D is about 3.6, so I am not worst pilot, but 20/1 is something unreal.
How do you think?

You die to everything if the game properly calculates damage.
Going with friends is why you have no deaths. I can get 40 kills and 2 deaths in a spider if I drop with my friends.

Try the same with a Raven 3L: More amor, more weapons, same speed and ECM.
YOu can easily achieve what you did in a 2 man while pugging alone.

Damage calculation is the reason but not only one. 3 streaks can shoot down any other light mech in seconds. ECM makes me invisible for LRM/Streaks and I am to fast for other weapons because I have 150 kph. It seems that lights are totally unbalanced now when such config exists.

Next time you can try this with 4 Raven 3L's.... a complete lamer build. But if a lot of people will play this there is a chance that the devs wake up and rebalance the ECM problem....

I mastered 3L before. I had 6 kills with 2 assists on 3L. I moved to Commando because Raven played to easy for me. But i was totally wrong)
so you find raven to easy, and you decide another lagshielded light with ecm and streaks will be just fine? why not try some normal builds without abusing broken game mechanics?

Because I have a lot of master heavies and assaults already. So I moved to something faster. Personnaly, I can't wait for Feb 19th patch and Matchmaker phase 3 fully operational.

ECM is another advantage, since SSRMs were the best way to defeat Commandos and with two ECMs you're resistant to a single enemy using Counter mode.
Try again after Elo matching and better netcode are here and compare.

This is pretty important too - single ECM is easily negated but two together is MUCH more powerful, especially as highly mobile so can just leave areas with lots of enemy ECM.

I think that it is has a point. It would be great if matchmaker can limit number of ECMs in match.

ECM is has always been a pest.
Team work is very strong in pugs.
Its not that hard to do what you did with friends so I am going to take what you say with a large spoon full of salt.
In saying that though dealing with even a ECM raven can just be a play nightmare- ECM and streaks together is a very low risk high reward option which is very unfun and in some cases unfair to fight for the simplicity of that little light mech running around me at 180ms or less will never miss his shot on my torsos with his SSRMs and in cases where my team-mates should be able to shoot the pest off me.. the ECM prevents them from seeing me unless i happen to run across the line of fire between them and the enemy and HOPE that they see the little devil shooting me and then I have to HOPE that they can kill it/make it want to leave me alone.
Maybe make a away for the two to not be so strong together or just lower the strength of one or the other? Preferably ECM.

No, no, and no some more.
The match maker creates teams by matching number of mechs and tonnage. So it makes sure a 50 ton medium is not pitted against a 100 ton assault.
The match maker does not account for the number of players that have BAP, or AMS and 1 ton of ammo, or a small laser and a single heat sink. These are all examples of things that take 1.5 tons and 2 slots, just like ECM. If you think that ECM does not belong with this group but instead is in the category of having a 100 ton mech instead of a 50 ton mech or more teammates than the opposition, then:
IT IS ECM THAT IS BROKEN, NOT THE MATCH MAKER.

its not even based on exact tonnage, just tonnage categories, lights, mediums, heavies, assaults. So an 80 tonner can get matched up with a 100 tonner since they are both assault category.

I think that ECM is good enough now. Also it will be nerfed after Feb 19th patch with new PPC effects and sensor range module changes. I think that problem is in netcode and lagshild that prevents lights to be hit. You can do almost everything piloting light w/o ECM like you are ECM equipeed. You won't be shoot. It will be clear if you try to fight with people with ping 50 and less. In this case you will be dead in seconds.
