Seriously these are just colours.

Why the **** is customizing this damn expensive?

Because the game is so damn cheap (read: free), but game development is not.

Well, besides one of my team mates mentioning there's no compelling "Gold" colors the new colors are nice. As other said, the prices are a bit steep but at least we get to choose the color. Another game I play has you pay $1 for a RANDOM COLOR.

I'd really like to be able to change the camo spec or, at least, more of the colors on our Founder 'Mechs.

I'd also love some way of editing the color of the cockpit glass, add a glow (similar to the concept art and Atlas Desktop Wallpaper) as well as change the glow's color.

This is strange - when buying a color its unlocked, its for all mechs, but a unlock for a pattern is only for a mechtype?
Just payed 1250 MC for pattern Atlas Phranken, and yes its literary only for the atlas. WHY pay 1250 MC for a "full" unlock for a mechtype - when you can buy a single use phranken patton for 125 MC.

Dam i feel stupid - when i realized that its only the atlas that were unlocked ... Wasted 1125 MC - but of course the name indicate its for the Atlas - but not Atlas only.. well heck its only money.

So the update reset the camo of my 'Mechs, and now in order to get the camo back on my 'Mechs I have to spend much more than I had originally spent to get it in the first place?

Please tell me I am looking at this jazz wrong, I am getting legitimately angry at this point.

Same. I don't understand the difference between single use versus perma use. Is single use for that mech only?
This is pretty frustrating, as I had gotten the colors *just* right on at least 4 of my mechs... yet the refund I got is barely enough to cover 1/4th the cost of ONE mech?!?!

Not sure what inspired this change and this pay scale... Pretty annoyed and frustrated now.

Also, here's a bit of a work around. I was able to bring the cost of the Phranken pattern on an Atlas down to about 1275 MC, changing all the colors to standard colors (about 250 - 500 MC each), and setting the pattern itself to single use... It's not ideal, but what do you do?

To clarify, what happens if I unlock standard colors? Are they unlocked for all my mechs or just that Chassis or just that particular mech variant?

Still frustrated and hoping these pricing structures get revised... Until then, I'm going to hang on to my MCs. This is kind of ridiculous.

Because "Single Use" means "for a Single use"! If you change to another camo and then switch back you have to buy the "Single Use Camo" again. If you unlock it permanently you can switch as often as you like.

For instance if I put the Phranken-Skin an my Atlas and my Company is running 8-Man (or 12-Man, yay!) I'd like going all of us in the same pattern. So I'd switch for the time we all play together and switch back for PUGing.

Thanks, Greers. That helps!

Still not 100% keen on the new pricing scheme... I wish those of us early adopters would have been grandfathered in with what we had purchased thus far...

I generally think the colours are too expensive, had they been 125 and 250 I might have bought a couple wheras now I imagine I'll buy maybe one or two and use them for all mechs.

Quick question: When I buy a single use camo pattern, will I be able to change the colors later on without buying the pattern again?

I bought three colors and one camo yesterday, which is more than I have spent on paintjobs since they were introduced. I'd say the plan is working. In fact it's working so well, I bought the camo for my catapults even though I only really pilot my C1-F. :(

EDIT EDIT: It seems the last thread was deleted maybe because of the title. Which was MISOGYNY WARRIOR ONLINE. This one appears to have been changed. Just sayin'.

Dearest PGI,

I am posting this post on behalf of the female MechWarrior Online community. I am posting this post to document a period of trolling we received from you starting February 05, 3050. Such conduct has caused me to suffer severe humiliation and embarrassment, emotional distress and physical discomfort particularly from flipping a table.

I am uncertain if the exclusion of a hot pink to the list of so many colours added with the most recent patch is intentional or if you just don't know which pinks to add. If it was in fact unintentional and you are unaware how poor the pinks added are, the juxtaposition of any of them next to the brightest of other colours will highlight where you have failed in your endeavour.

I would like to request that you cease and desist from your trolling as soon as possible and suggest that a suitable shade of pink be added to MechWarrior Online. Suitable shades include 'hot' and 'tickle me'. If you require assistance selecting a pink, I would be more than happy to personally assist.

Regards,
Bok

PS: I think my last topic got deleted but I don't know why :( Can't you just banish it to the far country or something instead of trying to cover up the misogyny?

Well if a topic got deleted without the author being told why or any explanation offered it seems reasonable to assume someone must have just misclicked.

But you can put it on a mech and see it, so there's not much point in arguing semantics. Black and white aren't colours either and we've got them!
