What a bargain for you!

It's quite simply, the more use you get out of it the better the value.

Thank god for the pcgamer skin and colors

If you don't have it, find a back issue online and get some colors cheaper.

This, the phraken pattern with pc gamer colours looks almost as good as original. Hell of a lot cheaper too

simple. if you like to change things up regularly, get the permanent skins. if you are like me and dont change patterns, get the single use. every one wins!

Pretty much that, however I wonder how many people will actually buy the permanent skins, however the single use skins are far cheaper than they were pre-patch (if you already have the colors) so I'm happy. I did want to permanently own the pattern for all my mechs but now I get to mix and match, I just can't swap around patterns as much.

I like the look of the PC Gamer pattern on some mechs like my Commando and Centurion.

For my Ravens I purchased Tiger Stripe.... as I had Forest on them before it wasn't a big price gouge. I also picked up a few colors that I can now use even with the default skins.

If you have ONE mech in each type that you will play and you know(despite the fact that things could change, weapons could change and make different variants fun to play) that you will never jump into a different variant and you know you won't be changing your pattern, unlock it once for cheap.

Me, I want the pattern unlocked permanently. I want to be able to someday have my friends and I all run the same pattern and colors when we form a lance or two so we can recognize each other instantly on the battlefield. I might, however, want to switch back into my other pattern for when I am pugging especially if the team picks an ugly pattern.

Still, they never learn.

It's better to sell a lot for less than less for a lot.

Halve the prices of paints (not C-bill) and camo unlocks (not single use) and you hit the sweet spot.

That's what 'sales' are for. Keep the price high at first and catch those with a lot of disposable income that are into that. Then pop sales or lower prices to get those that are interested but not willing to pay full price. Then after the high price buyers seem to die off, lower the price permenantly to get the next tier down.

It's what new release video games do all the time. New game comes out: $60. If it's good and people want it it will stay there for a while. Once demad dies off for it and people stop buying it new like that you'll see it drop to $40, then $20.

Except that it costs $3,000 to buy all of the colors. And they can always "invent" more colors (like real white) and charge even more.

Math please?

And then there's this guy who said the pricing is "greedy". Yes, they're greedy because you couldn't buy White for cheap even when Light Grey is 250MC. You just neeeeeed that white because it's soooooo important.

You people are disgusting. Such a sad bunch of whiny entitled manchildren. You're whining over paint colors on internet space mechs. Pathetic.

No dont need! But if it's priced well and i want to pay for this game and want to feed the Devs and respect they work yes need! if i play with a game and i feel fun it's good ( meaning a game its fun ) In appstore a complet game run from 1USD to 20USD avarage NOT A COLOUR a full game or application.. phraken design is almost 20USD compare dude... The hero mech was better because the value ( smile ) is much better than a design or colours for that price..
So we dont cry or whiny just dont like something overpriced.... Thats all I play EVE online also last year was a tri this microtransaction thing. can buy something ridiculous thing like kitty lady pants what higher price than one month game So everybody dropped back this idea to the hell! And what happened? the game still run well and everybody have enough money there and we play that game still... So just need to understand and compare One mont game or shiny kitty lady clothes. ( hero mech or shinye paintjob ) everything have a limit

Why does everyone whine about everything??? I think the paint prices are more than fair and with the sale going on it's akin to stealing. This is a F2P game guys. They have to make money or it will not be around to play much longer. 1,000MC for neon is not a bad price at all and you get to keep it FOREVER on all your mechs. If you don't have the income then don't get shiny stuff. Believe it or not, everything should not be given to you just because you happen to be alive at this point in time. Also the "price lower sell more" thing is stupid at best. I'm quite sure that the marketing team looked at the best way to maximize profits and went with that plan.

It's good to know everyone here is much better at designing and selling products than those who are really making money off us now.

The prices for premium colors are really too high. Nevertheless, I bought a couple because I love this game so much.

They really ought to have daily deal type things on colors and such, or have bulk color packs for discount prices.

I'm not a huge fan of the "your opinion sucks, get over it" responses. Saying the prices are too high is pretty reasonable. Getting flamed for saying so is not.

As I observed regarding the cockpit swag, the basic economics of a demand curve apply here. If the prices are lowered, you'll actually sell more which would generate more revenue. I am intimately familiar with the cost of developing software, and I have no problem with PGI trying to make money: good for them. I just don't think the current pricing is going to make anyone happy (players: too expensive, developers: low sales).

I still want skins to be un.lockable across ALL chassis for maybe 2500MC. however, I disagree prices are too steep otherwise, you only need to buy 2-5/6 colours, maybe 12 if you splurge, only some are 1,000MC, its a good way for PGI to make money.

Meh, its Free to Play, unless they mean to make it pay to win, they have to earn money somewhere, selling baubles and colours.
If they decide that the best way to make a living is by making someone pay a high price for neon colours, fine by me.

Of course, it MIGHT earn them more money if they have lower prices, enticing more people to spend a few dollars here and there, but I guess that is what they will have sales for. Guess thats what they have economy dudes figuring out as they go along.

I would be spending a lot more cash and not saving it, if the colors where cheap and the items where to. I would be buying everything. It is called micro-transaction. This is what TF2 used to make all their cash in the free 2 play. I dont think piranhagames got the memo that Gabe released. But overcharging is where people lose cash.

Patern unlock should work as color and become available to all mech. Or at least to all the mech in the same categorie (Light/Medium/Heavy/Assault)

I don't think anyone will change his patern back and forth over 10 time on the same Mech Model... so the single use is the way to go for now.

I don't think you got the memo that this isn't Team Fortress 2.

And for as much of "I'd be buying everything if it were cheaper" - I'm on the "I doubt it" - side of your argument. You'd still buy the few things you actually wanted, and still complain it was too expensive for a vanity item.

I like the many new colors and the options to purchase the individuals we like. Yeah they seem a bit pricey but I don't need every color either I managed to do well on a few bucks. I'll just keep watching for sales.

Now from a color blind perspective thank you for putting them into the catagories you did, it helped alot. I also noticed that it appears some of the colors have changed from what they were. IE, PC Gamer Grey is lighter and Basic Orange is darker. Please don't do this again it kinda adds an unwanted effect that can bring on shock to put it lightly.

I am not saying it is Team Fortress 2. I am comparing it to mechwarrior. Looks like you need to take primary school again, and learn English.
You are wrong. I have the MC to buy things. I am not buying things at all due to the price. I am waiting for something good to come out that is not overpriced.
