The developers should seriously consider adding the Mechwarrior to the Mechlab, standing right next to the BattleMech. The pilot seems to take the back seat and often gets neglected in Mechwarrior Games. Adding the pilot to the Mechlab would also generate money for PGI, as they can sell items such as uniforms, cooling vests, neurohelmets, etc. It would also reinforce the sense of scale and would not be hard to implement into the game. Thoughts/Opinions?

I like the idea going into the future, but there are a ton of other much more important changes that should appear first.

Something like Eve's character creation would be interesting for later.

Good idea for later on for sure. Cockpit attire and in hangar wear could be slightly different too - full suit in-game, t-shirt and jacket in the hangar.

That's because this game (and all previous MechWarrior computer games) is based on BattleTech the tabletop war game. The pilot has no life outside of the 'Mech except preparing for the next mission.
The game you're looking for is MechWarrior, the tabletop RPG. The focus is on the MechWarrior himself, and battle in a 'Mech is a distant second.
I'm sure they have ideas for crap like this, but it needs to take a very distant back seat to actual battle in 'Mechs and money-makers you can see in the cockpit. I'd say maybe mid-2014 as a good starting point, after they have given us the full CW and the Clans have come and conquered, and they have lots more maps and 'Mechs.
