Hello Dev team,
MWO has a really nice hud that lives on top the "physical" cockpit, and it looks great in the teaser videos.
Obviously the cockpit artwork will consume the same screen real estate irregardless of resolution, but a very common issue in modern games is that the "HUD" shrinks as resolution increases.
Those of us who play on nice big monitors (2560x1600, 2560x1440) often suffer because of this, as minimaps etc frequently become too physically small to be useful at these resolutions due to the dpi of the HUD artwork not scaling with the screen resolution. Battlefield 3 is an excellent example of this oversight - playing it in 2560x1600 makes the default minimap etc tiny!
Basically - I'd like to suggest that you do some testing at these higher resolutions and code the HUD to be a fixed scale regardless of resolution. Maybe this is the case, I guess I'll know if/when my beta key appears!
Cheers,
