So i tend to play a ppc stalker and i am used to shutting down from heat all the time. The new issue seems to be that if i hit p once while shutting down my mech will not start back up right away but wait until heat is below 100% stand up then shut right back down. at first i thought i was just being an ***** and hitting p more then once but i've now had this happen twice in two diffrent games.

Anyone else having this happen to them ?

I believe you have to use O to over ride the shutdown. As I read the patch notes, hitting P will just shut you back down when it trieds to power back up. Basicly, hittinjg P during the shut down cycle ques the keypress to when the mech starts up on its own, hence why it shuts down again

Yeah, hit "o" when you go critical (but before actual shutdown), then you can powerup during shutdown by hitting "p". At least that is how I understand the process. Seems overly complicated to me though.

see i also read it and as such will paste it here

- If your heat level reaches 100%, your Mech will automatically power down; it will automatically power back up again when your heat level drops below 100%
- Your Mech can be manually powered up again after an automatic shutdown by pressing P
- If you press O, you will command your Mech to override the automatic shutdown
- When O is pressed, Betty will alert you that override has been activated, an override warning will flash on your HUD, and it starts a 5 second timer during which, if your heat reaches 100%, the automatic shutdown is ignored. (Note: Even after the 5 seconds have passed, your Mech will not automatically shutdown if you are over 100% heat.)
- Each time you press O, you reset the 5 second timer
- You can manually power down after overriding the automatic shutdown by pressing P, however you will not automatically power back up when your heat drops below 100% (though you will know this has happened when your screen stops flashing red)
- If you remain powered up while over 100% heat, you will take damage to your internal structure

O only prevents you from auto shut down. p powers you back up from auto shutdown "before" your below 100% ie your mech begins shutdown you press P you should instantly power back up even if at 120% heat.
