I decided to build and play with a zombie (non XL, all hardpoints filled) centurion. After many builds, I found myself at one that worked like a charm. It has plenty of dps capabilities when you chain and don't overdo it, it is ECM immune (No locking weapons.) and it runs at max speed. While I love XL builds and will continue using them in any competitive game, this build is great for pugging, and can take a serious beating. All the weapons are standard, low weight and equally losable. I still stand by my SRM4 + Art > SRM6 policy.
Standard Armor. (All max save legs, at 39.)
Endo-Steel
STD260 (84.2KMH)
40FP
1.39 HE. 15DHS
RA: 2ML
CT: 2ML
LT: 2SRM4 + Artemis.
All in all, it's pretty standard. It sure packs a punch, though.

Not bad. Personally I think I would prefer a 250 engine, save on weight with a negligible speed difference. I'd probably opt for regular SRM6s instead of SRM4s+Art, I'm not sure SRM4s noticeably benefit from Art. The biggest difference would be heatsinks. With the weight saved on the engine you can get a full 17DHS in there.
My version.
I think the problem with this set-up is that it is functionally identical to the HBK-4SP. The 4SP lacks the shield arm, but is still a pretty decent zombie mech in its own right, with the SRMs split between two sides and a head weapon to help prop up the fire power when it loses an arm. The SRM grouping from the Cent is a little tighter, but really they perform very similar.
The Cent seems to be a good choice for those willing to take advantage of the shield arm and actively work on spreading damage. The 4SP is a little more forgiving.

I munched two 4SPs in this build literally the match before I posted this. I make extensive use of the shield arm, and as a zombie mech, that makes this build deceptively thick. Also, the difference between SRM6 or SRM4 and SRM4 + Art is demonstrably big, both in range missles can hit at and how many will land.
