Hi,

you should mark somehow the "Unseen" mechs. Following is a list with the mechs without distribution rights, and the companies that actually owns them. Bolded are the mechs that are "Reseen" meaning they were negotiated or they modified the graphics for them. The "Reseen" we might actually have a chance to see them. As for the "Unseen" there are very poor chances to see them, so is better for people to see them marked properly out of the list.

A redesigned Shadow Hawk, Battlemaster, Griffin, Wolverine and/or Goliath.

Also a Grasshopper, Cyclops, Crab and King Crab and maybe a Mongoose.

If there was one mech that I could pick to play and be stuck in it would have to be the Vulture (Mad Dog). Why? Look at that thing. Its pure sexah.

Mostly disappointed in not seeing the Buchwacker, and then realizing it only really came into play after '53.

Not with Robotech, it was with Macross, Dougram and Crusher Joe, and later on some 'Mechs by Victor Musical Industries (8 second-line 'mechs and 3 star league/comstar mechs).

No, the problem was if I recall with Harmony Gold and their bastardised 'Robotech' franchise. FASA did actually have a license for the Macross (and other) designs from the people who make Macross (and the other shows). Harmony Gold for some inexplicable reason thought they had total and complete control of the properties in North America so started litigating; once it was pointed out that didn't have that and should GTFO they decided to keep it up with the litigation until FASA went away. It even got to the stage where the original creators were telling HG to knock it off, but they didn't.

So the single, solitary reason why we can't drop in a Warhammer is HG (as well as both FASA and the new rights holders having the misfortune to be an American company). Which is funny because I'm far more likely to watch Macross, eat popcorn and pay 'gold' to drop in a Warhammer mech than I ever am buy Robotech (or Battle of the Plaents) DVD's.

Personally I think Harmony Gold should take its head and shove it into their unmentionables for their butchering of the Battletech series with those stupid ownership rights. They never even use them for anything! Robotech is so long dead, I doubt it will ever come back in any meaningful form. But Mechwarrior/Battletech is still going strong with a large and dedicated fanbase. I hate Harmony Gold for that, and they have eternally earned my animosity because of it.

A lot of people may not know this, but when this new mechwarrior game was in its infancy, Harmony Gold filed a lawsuit against it for infringement! Even though none of their designs were anywhere even remotely resembling the Harmony Gold disputed designs. The people at Harmony Gold are total and complete buttheads.

I thought the hollander was made Pre clan invasion as well?.. Was it not?

Also why can't the unseen just receive new models? I know the marauder IIC is reseen, why not base the inner sphere model after it?.. Same for some of the other unseen inner sphere mechs that we're reseen as IIC models

All my favorite mechs are the unseens. So I guess I'm screwed.

Warhammer, Rifleman, Marauder, etc.

I need my catapault fix. I mean, just wait in the backround until you can see a mech, and then rain down LRMs until you see the enemy explode. Anyone sees you, and you can just fly away and continue raining missles.

For Mech Announcement 16, they should make it special:

The Daboku for DCMS, and the Mauler for everyone else! :P

I'd be hilarious to watch the Daboku auto-eject it's pilot after the first salvo of missiles hit it! :D

After mulling over the light Mech choices, I have decided I'd like to see both/either the Locust and the Mongoose. Though I think the Locust is growing on me more than the 'goose.

Sarna wiki states that the Nightstar was in production by both halfs of the commonwealth.. how come its listed as comstar only?

The factory was destroyed 2786 and production püicking up again roughly 250 years later according to sarna..

Wich would mean the earliest Nighstars where seen on battlefields again around 3036-37

I don't really trust Sarna, but I'll check my TRO's when I get home.
