Honestly, I could care less about most of these mechs. As far as concerned, the more the merrier, but as long as I can get a Timberwolf, Mad Dog, Summoner or Warhammer I'll be totally happy.
I know that the apparent time setting is out of the way of the Timberwolf's manufacturing date, but I honestly would rather the team making MWO consider fun over strict realism.

Oh how I relish the days or bearing down on a lance of mechs with my twin PPC, Medium Lasers and LRM15s Timberwolf in Mechwarrior 4 Mercs. Aaahh, fun times. ^_^

The Timber Wolf appeared in print in TRO 3050, but the in-universe introduction date (according to the Timber Wolf's entry in the Master Unit List) is 2945.

It should be noted that, in many cases, the year on the TRO in which a 'Mech appears in print is not the same as the in-universe year of its introduction, and that the latter should be checked by referencing the Master Unit List maintained by Catalyst Game Labs (the current license-holder for BattleTech). ^_^

I for one would like to see the Robotech people and the battletech people stop acting like a bunch of babies....There are so many mech designs excluded from the game that the fans really love because these people have been at each others throats for years....and these mechs are a huge part of the story....for instance I can remember reading about Grayson Death Carlyle kicken Butt for a long time in a Maurader....I love that mech....but thanx Robotech for all the drama .....to coin the phrase cant you dudes just get along so that we can make our universe the best it can be....isnt the point of this to make a product for the fans thats dominates the industry for decades.....think of all the money thats involved, THE FANS WANT THEM......now pull your heads outa your butts bring your toys back to the sand box and get along.....

So does this mean that the Clan mechs are gonna be in the game sometime in the future? My first MW game was Vengeance, so I don't know much about the timeline, all I know is that the Mad Dog is one of my favorite mechs

Can take these 9 off the list, they will not make it to the game. These are the 9 that HG/Macross claims rights to and has sued 3 times now.
  • Stinger (LAM)
  • Wasp (LAM)
  • Pheonix Hawk (LAM)
  • Crusader
  • Archer
  • Warhammer
  • Rifleman
  • Longbow
  • Marauder
*Edit* Typo

That is so sad, as they are some of the most popular mechs. But it is well understood and there are a plethera of other mechs just as powerful if not even better than them. I will miss bringing a Marauder out to battle, but guess I will just leave that to the tabletop. =)

Thank You, Stormwolf, for the awesome complete list of the mech's techical readouts ( as revealed in the original game!) I really appreciate how much work it was to display all that information to us. Thank you from Captain Jim!!!

So, from what I'm seeing...

Yay! I get a chance to pilot a Shadowcat Prime! Lil' over a year from now, but that is my goal.

No Turkinas? WTF.

Also would like to get my hands on a Vindi. Virtually unstoppable in one of those playing TT

Phoenix Hawk, Shadow Hawk, though I'd settle for a Griffin, depending on availability. Though I'm a big fan of the Bushwacker, which isn't out yet chronologically.
