All Map Collision / Stuck / Fall Through World / Shoot through Object related posts will be merged into this thread for simplified reference and overview.

Please attempt to respond to the following questions in your responses:
  • The map affected.
  • The grid tile affected.
  • The coordinates affected.
  • The Mech or weapon used to achieve the collision issue.

Sorry I don't have the coordinates, but here's the general situation and location

On River City, around the 3/G (or F) intersection moving in parallel with the G from the 4 to the 3, I ran hard into a building along the road at full speed in a Cat. I stopped, the speed indicator registered stopped, but I could not turn or back up. I could torso twist, but nothing seemed to shake my feet loose. They were undamaged at the time, though I quickly died, so I have no idea if the effect would have ended on its own.

Heading: 324
Location description: From gouge created by downed ship, moved from corner of E6 and E7 into D6. I was firing LRMs as I went up the hill. Due to stalker's terrible traction, slid into this hole of which I began to skip up and down ONLY (only 125.0-126.0) but once another player moved next to me (passed on my right) I proceeded to fall under the map and really start popping up and down. I was unable to turn the torso nor move forward or backward for the rest of the match.

I have two but they're from older patches. I don't recall this thread topic being around in the past.

It's right next to the ramp into the upper city. I've seen plenty of people get stuck here.

I jump jetted up here and got stuck. I ran out of fuel since it didn't recharge even though it appears I was solidly on the roof. I might have been able to get out with my remaining fuel if it was under the new system. (Feb 5 JJ changes)

On the city map between the left side of the collapsed bridge leading down from the upper city and the hill (didn't think to take screenshot :/). Is this the right forum to post this in? Just as a bugreport I mean, match is already over ofc.

'Mech clipping and collision causes lights to get caught beneath heavies. Warping ensues. Constant leg damage. Component pops, dead.

Piloting a Stalker 5M on the Caustic Valley Map. I can't give you a location as I was chasing down a mech. I was running down the 3 line walking parallel to the 3 line ridge when I slid all the way down the hill... from top to bottom sideways. A good 50-100 meters sideways. First time something like that has ever happened.

Also, in one of the frozen maps with the downed ship. Just to the side of the ship collision trench there is another trench/sink hole that mechs get trapped in. My Atlas and my Stalker almost always get stuck there for no reason. I have to move and swing back and forth sideways to get out of it. It's not even that deep. And with the new sliding bug from above my Stalker gets sucked into it like it's a sand trap.

And last but not least. In my Stalker more so than any other mech I slip sideways on small rocks and other obstructions. A good example is the river bed of the Alpine/ship maps. Any of the maps with that river bed just upriver of the 2 tunnel bridge will cause you to slip and slide left and right un-realistically.

Oh, and one more thing. Why, why, why do mechs 'drop' off a small rock/boulder/ledge and do some kind of convulsion? I can understand dropping off a long drop or a big change of elevation. However I do not agree with the current 'x amount of elevation change=convulsion graphic trigger' logic in your game. Slow me down to make sure my legs don't buckle, but the convulsion thing causes leg direction changes to stop and torso pitch/yaw changes to your aim. It's unrealistic and annoying. Again, I am fine with medium and large drops to do this. Even after a jump jet landing if it wasn't 'feathered' perfectly. However it's too small of an elevation change trigger in current state. A tiny rock on the ground shouldn't do that.

Sorry for the lack of information, but on Forest Colony near the bridge with the tunnel pipes.

I was backing up quickly as a Hunchback and I believe I ran into another mech (never saw them don't know what they were) and became immediately rooted in that spot. It appeared as though I was above the ground and I got the feeling I was floating above where I should be, but couldn't verify it.

I was stuck, but I was also able to turn and shoot. My screen was shaking kind of like my Mech was falling slightly over and over again rapidly. After somewhere between 30 seconds to a minute the problem fixed itself and I rejoined the fight without further problems.

Anyway, I was playing a game on River City Night piloting a Centurion D.

I backed into the corner of this building at the intersection of F/G and 3/4 and became stuck. It didn't seem matter what I set my throttle to; I couldn't get out. Eventually I stopped fooling with the throttle with it set to forward and just started looking around...and eventually finally popped out. I was there for less than a minute.

I'm posting my third spot I've been stuck in river city. I turned on the locator (F9) so you can see exactly where I was. I didn't fall through the world, but I was unable to move, turn, or get pushed out. I was stuck the entire match.

Good to know about that indicator; thanks. This is my second time getting stuck on this map, but I don't know how to accurately describe the first in words.

We were in the Frozen city map going through the Jenner Highway. Our Jenner jumped up and got stuck on the wall. He couldn't move and his jump jets wouldn't recharge.

I went over with my Awesome to see if I could bump him off the wall and as soon as I got close to him....he exploded and I got tagged with a team kill.

Powering down and up resulted in an up and down shaking view and after some seconds and tries to accelerate forward and backward I sunk down through the ground under the map. After some time I was at height -200 and deeper.

In River City (NIGHT) map, in middle of F4 quadrant, there is a gap between buildings from a roadway into river. Somehow my Centurian (CN9-A) became stuck in the geometry.

I could torso twist, but not move forward or reverse and spent most of the match in limbo, hung.

This happened to me as well, thought I am not sure what happened, because I was on the upper level of the barge-type-thing in lower city and there was nothing to get stuck on but one of the small pieces of the structure I was on..strange.

I dropped down from the upper city ledge through some tree and ended up stuck during the fall to some rocks. Since it was night I couldn't really see if there was some particular rock or not.

Stuck in River City (day)

It's at the first bridge pylon from the dropship base when crossing into upper city. I fell off the bridge and landed right at the bridge pylons and was totally stuck. Could only twist torso.

The Stalker seems to very poorly going up slight terrain inclines. I also got stuck on Frozen city map with one, wasn't able to move at all. With all the uneven ground on the maps something should be down about stalker having trouble going up hills.

Got stuck on river city night a few minutes ago. Coords are

I was piloting my Death's Knell Couldn't get a screen shot. It seems like I just got stuck to the wall, no amount of throttle changing or attempting to turn my mech would do anything.
