Well gee it looks everyone here started with MW3.... Makes me feel really old. I have been playing since MW1 came out . Then cresent hawks inception and revenge were out. something since like the mid 80's and been playing actually board game since then. read everyone of the novels up to when the mechwarrior titled books came out didn't care for them like i enjoyed the original InnerSphere stories. I still have every game book going back all the way back to Wolf Pack.

Just thought i would toss that out there you all .

and btw i still have some of the orginal titles on 5.25" floppy.

I'm 17 years old too, about halfway to 18. I played Mechwarrior 3, MechCommander, Mechassault, Mechwarrior 4, Mechwarrior 4 Mercs, AT1:Battletech (Mechwarrior 2 mod), but it looks like I won't be able to enjoy MWO for quite awhile.

I dont think it's their choice, more likely a legal aspect.

You have to be able to enter a legally binding contract. Here in the U.S (at least, not sure about other countries).. that means you have to have reached the age of majority..which is 18.

hmmm, in my country i believe it's 16...hmmm unless im an moron and dont know my countries laws...which is highly possible

Yes! Totally break the law and lied about your age on a contract.(don't do this.)

There's unlikely to be any direct legal consequences of doing so, but lying on the NDA is about a step behind deliberately breaking it and putting videos everywhere on how likely it is to get you a lasting ban. And with legal issues, they are far more likely to be willing to get the information to make such a ban stick.

Just wait a month and a half for the open beta. I really doubt an NDA will be required then. Trying to keep things quiet at that point, when the game is mostly finished and thousands of people playing, would be pretty futile.

You know what I really don't like?

I was born in 1994. 2012-1994 = 18. Yet I am not 18, I am 17. Am I overthinking or underthinking this? Hopefully some guy at PGI puts that in on his pocket calculator and says "oh, he's 18, come right on in" and giveth me the beta.

Hmm..I dunno. I do know that for now the Closed Beta (according to the Operation: Inception post) is only officially supported in the US/Canada.. we haven't been told whether or not anyone from any other region has been invited. As to your age..I don't know if they're using Canadian law, since that's where they're based, or the law in your country...

I'm also not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV..so no sane person should use me for legal advice! (Just don't lie about your age.. that's a no-no)
