Hi,

First I realize the right answer is use another browser. However, I cannot use another browser at work where my corperate standards dictate what I can and cannot use. That being said I've found it quite difficult to see the topics in these forums when using IE 8. At home I have IE 9 and the section listing the forum posts has a black background. This allows me to see all of the text easily. However, under IE 8 the black background does not exist and what I am left with is the background picture. The text doesn't show up against the catapult photo very well and is very difficult to read.

I have also noticed that when I enter a topic all of the text is set against a black background. So I'm wondering if some coding isn't in place for the primary forum pages. Can the webmaster from MWO address this?

Thank you.

That's kind of tough. IE 8 came out about 4 years ago. This is ungodly long, especially in an IT field like web development.

What you might want to try is the Google Chrome Frame.

This basically puts Google's rendering engine in the IE browser, allowing for much better rendering. Aside from that, the website could send the HTTP Response Header:

X-UA-Compatible

and set its value to:

IE=edge,chrome=1

This would make it so IE browsers would use their latest rendering engine available, and if installed, use Chrome Frame instead.
