hi everyone! Tried to contact by teamspeak but rooms are locked there, so I'll ask here. What do you think about phoenix mechs in terms of competitive gaming? Shadowhawk, Thunderbolt and Saber mechs, especially. I'm going to buy them like right now, only I don't wanna spend money on mechs which will turn out to be a mediocre just fun-to-play ones.

Actually talking to a person deployed in Afghanistan is much more interesting than discussing 'mechs, but I don't wanna offtop here. Thanks anyway.
Bought myself a Guardian. Now I'll wait for response about other 'mechs and will consider upgrading my Phoenix package.

Rubidiy; General consensus right now is that the Shadow Hawk is the one 'Mech worth having in the Phoenix package. As for Saber, many are looking at the Wolverine with interest but the Griffin does not seem to be too promising. Hope that helps!

Thanks! Sure it helped, 'cause it repeats my thoughts almost word by word. But I'm a little reluctant about judging Saber mechs by a single model. For now I'm judging them by the height of weapon slots. If I wanna be a pop-tart I'd rather have my ballistics in my shoulder right next to a cockpit, than have it in my arm. According to this simple logic both saber mechs won't be better than shadowhawk. But there are a lot of addiitional parameters like component hitboxes, current weapon balance et.c. which can change a final result drastically.
