You Have Been Destroyed

YOU HAVE BEEN DESTROYED
That zooming, flamboyant, celebratory, in your face text which is completely out of step with everything else... it really needs to go because:
- I have not been destroyed. I am fine, sitting in a chair. My mech has been destroyed. This console-esque display ruins immersion and causes dissonance within the player.
- It very much comes across as a "point and laugh" at your loss, or like rubbing salt in the wound. Like Nelson Muntz saying "HAW HAW", or a visual t-bagging from the MWO devs. This demoralizes and/or causes rage/irritation in the player.
- The explosion, the switch to third person view, and the loss of control of my mech, all tell me that my mech has been destroyed. Big, glaring text reminding me of what just happened is unnecessary and insults the intelligence of the player.
Suggestion:
Simple - get rid of the big zooming text effect. If it is deemed REALLY necessary to tell the player the obvious, then simply, and humbly replace it with "Mech Destroyed" with the same fonts used for the rest of the end of match screens (no special effects necessary).
PS - while you're at it, go and review some of the loading screens that say things like "destroy enemy players" where it really should say "destroy enemy mechs". Small verbage like this goes a long way in creating an immersive sim-like atmosphere as opposed to that of arcade shoot-em-ups.

+1 to changing "players" and "you" to references about the "mechs" instead.

Hah, perfect! That's exactly what it feels like... a "YOU SUCK!" screen.
Glad someone gets it.

And No, it really isn't some sort of "I Suck" screen. Everyone dies.. It is just a lot... Loud! lol

I kind of like it. I don't see it often, but it leaves a mental mark when you hear it. Means I need to get my sh*t together next match lol.

1) Really small maps
2)Aim assist (Streak=are a noobtube. We keep telling you we want the the time to increase, the damage to be 2 and not 2.5 and to lose lock the second the cross hairs leave the mech, and all we get is 'maybe we'll make missiles fire like they do in arma)
3) KDR and the newest crime match score which doesn't show any skill on the player's part, just a higher provability of using the easiest method of inflating that stat (running the biggest mech with most armor and hardpoints, using SRMS.
TL;DR the game only encourages the easiest method to inflate meaningless numbers (to Mech Warrior)
Sure, 12v12 maps are coming, but as mechwarrior fans really want balance to be a much high priority.
Things like making ecm just be like 1 ecm, and not all the ecm combined, streaks and all missiles getting in line with what missiles should do, and SOME SORT OF BALANCED MATCHMAKING WHERE TONNAGE IS EVEN is going to make this the game we have been waiting for.

it should also throw down a random "yo mamma" joke.

i think it is just one of those abstract concepts that people are having trouble expressing properly. basically what the OP is saying is that part of the game just feels wrong. he is suggesting some very minor changes to the text for the purpose of fixing it.
i think over all what was suggested will add to immersion. and it should be easy to do.

Post your stats Bryan. If it has even 1 death on it, then please, just **** off.
P.S. For clarity, I used the P word, not the F word...

please don't say "we" so carelessly. i disagree with most of what you said.
i do think this game has problems, but i don't want your "fixes".

Before I answer that, I ask you to ask yourself....
What is the purpose of the big zooming "you suck" text? Like what does it do to enhance the game in a positive way?
edit- PS. I do have an answer ready but I want you to think about what I am asking first.

you do need to make it clear to players that they have died in some way. without that feedback new players can get confused and frustrated thinking that they may have accidentally opened a menu in combat or something like that.
this game already has a very high learning curve to counter that they need to give as much feedback to the player as possible.
