This is still happening. I'll be halfway through typing and it'll all disappear. Or I'll have just started, almost done, etc. There's another bug along with it now - holding down backspace doesn't work, so you have to tap it as fast as you can if you want to erase your chat during a match. Anyone else having this issue?

Yeah, not being able to hold backspace to delete my chat is somewhat annoying.

Group chat is useless.
You can't type more than a few words.
If you type a longer sentence it will just disappear.

nd then it vanished.
front of my eyes.
nt do **** about it.
w what I mean?

Words typed first in even short sentences tend to disappear before you hit enter.

Noted the chat refreshes as soon as there is any activity in friends list i.e. people dropping in game, exiting game, going offline or coming online. This changes are seen by changes in colour, movement of names in the list.

This is the closest I've come to pinpointing a consistent indicator for refresh.

It is definitely not number of characters or speed of input as my experience has shown that it can refresh with as little as 1 character, typing 1 character / half sec or typing at my regular speed. Actually, spamming the keyboard like a loon seemed to avoid the refresh but will need to retest this. Unfortunately, I can't type understandable words that fast.

I tested the chat with only me in the group. It worked fine. If I'm with other people in a group I have those issues as above.
I can't tell if I was just lucky because my friendlist was almost empty at that time.
So I would guess every "movement" on your friendlist or every action from your group could be the problem.
