Whomever is the ***** at Pirahna coming up with new and complex keystrokes to do basic moves should be fired. Lets look at two **** poor ideas:

1st) UAC/5 jam mechanism
***** pirahna employee #1: "Lets follow the jam mechanism from Tabletop but we'll force you to cycle through all 5 buttons in a row unjam it"
***** program manager w/ no first person shooter experience #1: "Oh man, thats aweseome, lets do it yesterday!"

2nd) Power Down / Power Up
***** pirahna employee #2: "Man, everyone is just firing max weapons and overheating and then repowering up. Its not realistic. Lets put in two button controls for overheat. Also, lets make this system as convoluted as possible so that the player base will love it!"
***** program manager from Dilbert w/ no first person shooter experience #2: "Oh man, thats even better than the UAC/5 unlocking mechanism. Hey can I write the convoluted instructions on how to use it!"

Seriously Pirahna, if there is a problem with Overheating and Powering Up, don't try to solve it by making it a convoluted mess of a system to deal with. Its pretty damn simple:
-P = Power Up / Power Down
-If you Override shut down when over 100 heat you start taking internal structure damage

Everyone is happy. Please remove the ***** making these keystroke decisions and put them on Q/A or sandwich detail. They suck.

**NEWS FLASH**

You don't have to do ANYTHING to power up after you overheat. You will automatically power back up when you cool down sufficiently.

The only thing that changed is the override mechanism.

And you don't even have to hit 'P' to power up anymore - it happens automatically when you cool down enough.

The new override system is fantastic.

when I NEED to run hot or die, I can tap O (up to FIVE SECONDS before I need it) and fire at will.

when i overheat and powerdown, it automatically comes back as soon as it can.

When i need to manually power down, P works fine.

Rule number 1 don't over heat, it causes problems, and if you overheat because you cannot control your alpha striking then if the process to override/powerup appears like a penalty, perhaps it is punishing bad behavior.

Unjamming a UAC5, it does it by itself. And it does not jam unless you fire it on auto and are trying to get the most out of your game, once again see above and please control your alpha striking madness it causes over heating and weapons to jam.

Controlled fire and heat efficient builds make these problems non issues.

But good luck and if you want some help with your builds or coaching on how to have fire discipline then look me up on the NoGutsNoGalaxy free Team Speak Server, I usually play in the open dropships or the A.C.E.S. area and I don't mind when I have time to help new players or drop with them or work on builds that are more heat efficient. Unlike most first person shooters, which MWO is not it is a simulation of vehicle/mech combat and you are the pilot. So real problems like heating and ammo jams happen and generally can be controlled thru planning and training.

This isn't trolling, this is just ranting. Unless this really IS the current state of the troll game. If it is, how far the mighty have fallen. It hurts me in my heart.
