I'm doing everyone a favor. I'm preventing more talented people from achieving kills they don't deserve, and letting them move on to games where they can use their COD sniping skills to kill more people with gauss rifles from 1000 meters away.

I can also allow slow LRM boats abusing anyone who dared to run without ECM the trouble of finishing me off, by running out of bounds.

Sure, some guy doesn't get the kill, but did he really deserve it in the first place? Not really.

I'm ending the game, I'm not making you chase me. Be happy. Some day you'll be playing some cowardly little light the same cowardly way you play ever mech, and everyone will be begging for the game to end, but you won't let it. Then I'll remind you that i graciously ended a lost game by suiciding, and you'll provide the same favor.


Oh wait....you'll run around for 3-5 minutes hoping the remaining assault pilots are complete *******.

No, you are trying to prevent someone from getting a kill. The problem is: it only bothers people who give a ratzazz about K/DR.

I'd only do it if I were unarmed since we can't ram other mechs yet.

We had a Raven pilot once who was the last one remaining on our team take out the last 3 assaults by himself.

That was AFTER the lagshield was fixed. He got legged by the last mech but took him out anyway. He was that good.

Our team got the win, and it was fun to have our guys cheer him on while the other side was all "just die already".

you know back in closed beta we had a lil thing goin.. called honor..

when the match ended up roflstomprs, and all but one enemy mech had been bent over and reamed fast and hard. It was not uncommon to offer the last lonely guy a reach around and give him terms for surrender..

He'd be told power down and you may live.. if he complied it was honored and the pugstomprs would take the cap victory..

dont see this anymore really.. I had one match where we offered surrender in the past week or so.. but the poor lil light mech decided to die trying in the face of overwhelming odds..

I even see teammates diming out thier own. Yep the poor lil light mech all banged up so much he looks like a one armed xmas tree Just wants to survive while his team seems to think he can beat the 6 v 1 (or worse) odds. So they give out his location cause i guess he has to die too since they were crappy enuf to get themselves killed.

but face it when out numbered and without a prayer in the world trying for a draw is an option.

Rewards for capping are now pretty much non-existent. That's why you don't see it anymore. People want their kill bonuses.
