so my fav mech is the hellhound from MW 4 mercs.
but according to sarna the hellhound is also the conjurer (IS/Clan names, no issues yet)
whats confusing me is they seem to be different mech all together.
the hellhound i knew has chicken legs and its arms are little more then side mounted guns.
but Sarna suggests the hellhound is a normal walker with a much humanoid appearance.
can anyone shed some light on this topic?
heres a link for the sarna hellhound

and heres an image for the MW4 hellhound

Microsoft's artists have a hard time making humanoid mech's, specially ones with hands, therefor they morphed a lot of mechs into chicken walkers / changed hands into weapon pods.
I also think the mech didn't have its reseen art yet, and they were not allowed to use the old unseen art so they had to make up there own idea.
Also whats cool is the mech is technically the Wolverine IIC http://www.sarna.net...28BattleMech%29 but the name was changed because the other clans didn't want a reference or any honor given to the not named clan.

I loved that Mech too! Sadly, it won't be in this game for... quite a while. Probably never. But I think that the folks that made MW4 decided against the more humanoid (Ugly) look for their own, far cooler, shape.
But I don't really know why it looks so different. I'm just glad it does!

I love this mech, too -- and it has bar none the most interesting development, gamewise and canon wise.
Originally, the IS base mech is the wolverine. A run of the mill, 50 tonner quick strike mech. Clan Wolverine picked it up, and named it the Wolverine_IIC.
Jade Falcon also liked the mech and pretty much stole it, albeit with a different name, the Conjurer.
In MechWarrior 4, the mech was totally redesigned and its probably THE BEST looking Clan Mech to date.
Oddly enough, the name of the mech is also crazy. The IS call their mech the Wolverine, but the Wolverine_IIC is called, well the Wolverine_IIC only by Clan Wolverine. Jade Falcons effectively renamed it the Conjurer, and the IS call the Wolverine_IIC the HellHound.
Love the mech, but its also very unlikely to see MW:O anytime soon, especially the sexy MW4 redesign.

Clan Wolverine didn't design the mech, it was a IIC version of the innersphere Wolverine mech after Wolverine already had been annihilated, just they changed the name because they did not want to reference the not name clans name.
Clan Wolverine Time period: 2807 – 2823
Conjurer Introduced 2826[1]
Here are the mechs actually introduced by clan wolverine, http://www.sarna.net...ine_BattleMechs

They took liberties with its appearance. Several mechs got redesigned appearances throughout the MW series of games. Have you seen the original flea compared to the MWO concept? I can say, I would not want to pilot something that looked like the original... The MWO concept...hell yeah, I want that!

The Wolverine is a 55-tonner.
It's also Unseen, which may partially explain the more extensive redesign.
