I recommend you to use Turmeric, it makes a good gold color.

Loving the Lyran regulars shown here in paticular. I am hoping to get my mechs closer to those schemes sometime.

For now, I've kind of settled on a woodland pattern with the basic green, camo brown and black. It's there in spirit, unfortunately not really 'Steiner' enough to really count.

I just feel the need to say it once: Steiner doesn't necessarily mean blue paint, 'end of story'. Spent an interesting few minutes reading up the different paintschemes ect and they look good. Going straight up blue passes up so many interesting designs ect.

There are some Steiner units that use red or olive. It is just that blue is a more common color seen in the Commonwealth.

The newly formed Tamarind March Militia use Cobalt & Edo, but individual members use different highlight colors to reflect their unit.

I would like to add some new Clan Mechs in Steiner paint shemes!
Don't worry they are "captured Mechs" of course after hard fights.

I may have been Edred Steiner in a previous life. It is interesting to see that this thread has lasted longer than Edred.

What shades of blue/white would you all use to replicate the Lyran Guard?

Posted Image

I know you can't replicate the camo pattern exactly, but I was considering using Raider (with blue/white/white) to get a sort-of-similar look...

Cobalt is a good use of blue, and Ash Grey or Titanium White will work.

Well all Steiner Loyalists will have the option (IS Renvenge Package) to take the "Steiner colours" for camo shemes.
