There's plenty of topics out there debating the pricing of the Hero mechs, this is not one of them.
This is simply a suggestion for PGI to consider: Include a MechBay with the Hero mech purchase. I have slowly started collecting the Hero mechs, and for some reason my resistance to buying Deaths Kneel or Pretty Baby is the fact that I have to buy more MechBay slots.
If I'm going to pay something like $30 for a mech, I think the slot could be thrown in for free.

That's a good point. I haven't really thought of the logistics in terms of the interface, but I'm sure they could add a button that says "Buy Mech with MC" in the same area where you can buy a bay with MC.

And what's the problem about changing the shop so you can browse mechs even if your mechbays are full.
Then, If you want to purchase one, it could just say "You don't have enough free mechbays to buy a mech. You can buy additional bay slots in your mech hangar." or something like that.
On topic.
I agree. For the insane MC cost of hero mechs they should at least add a free mechbay.
