Sun. May 27, 3049: Though loath to admit it, AFFC is still attempting to replicate the effective electronics package of the RVN-3L Raven.

Cadfael turned in his bed, forced one sleepy eye open at the news, and murmered. "Alas, Nevermore!"

Again, proof of the technological superiority of the Confederation. The Federats cannot hope to match the innovation, ingenuity, and progress of the Capellan people, and so are forced to try and imitate our greatness. If only they would try to emulate our propensity towards peace, then we would have no need to create such marvels of war.

Translation. No upstanding member of the Federated Commonwealth could ever lower themselves to being as sneaky a rat as we can.

That should help everyone

Imo, that's why they so love that mech, right? :)

And then steal our stealth armor, because it's something completely different... ;)

From Sarna:

The Raven is a technological marvel and employs a large number of advanced electronic warfare systems, possibly making it the most advanced light 'Mech on the field, at least in detection and targeting equipment. It was first built by the Capellan Confederation as an electronics test bed unit that was pushed into combat during the Fourth Succession War, when the Federated Suns made a concentrated effort to destroy the Liao state. Since that time, rediscovered Star League technology has allowed the Raven to reach its full potential.
The Raven has a maximum speed of 97.2 km/h, which is respectable for a 'Mech of its weight class. It is armored with four and a half tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor, giving it good protection. To further its survivability, it is outfitted with CASE to protect against any ammunition explosions. The 'Mech is also powered by an XL Engine and carries some of the most advanced electronics warfare equipment in the Inner Sphere.

I bet that True Raven - Capellan model RVN-3L (with full electronics suite, NARC and TAG) will be really hated on the battlefields! Can't wait to handle that bird.

You can pick any mech you want, but if you want a discount on the Raven then choose Liao. :)

I've already got two potential Raven pilots in my lance, a Jenner pilot, two Catapults, a Centurion (if it is available at launch) and a Hunchback. Y'all are gonna hate my lance!

Death from above. Warheads on foreheads!

All I gotta do is put a few rounds in that squishy little raven and it's gonna be limping back to base or laying in a puddle of coolant. Initiation to War anyone?

I have, considering the posts I put in that thread, but I've also seen the 'Ask the Devs' post that said that NARC, TAG, BAP, and ECM are not guaranteed working at release - which would signal a delay in the Raven, or at least in its usefulness.
