Currently we have 4 currencies in game - MC, XP, GXP, Cbills.
Now rigth now there is only and conversion system in place for XP to GXP via spending MC. Which is all fine.
But there has to be a little give here, and take a little bit of GW2 logic. by allowing players to convert XP and Cbills to MC. At a rate of 10k Xp per 1MC and 200k per 1 MC.
This might seem trival at first but gives F2P players some gain in MC that brings them into the shop. They may enjoy gaining skins etc and adopt buying MC as a result.
It also is an outlet for cbills and XP starts to build up in the bank to a level where a player can outright buy all varients on patch day without blinking and again PGI loses money as some may have got MC to do the same thing.
It's open and honest and will actually bring in more cash for PGI to adopt this practice as well as rewarding players.

This model of complete exchange between RM-currency and In-game currency is mostly found in Asian F2P games and has proven successful to get players comfortable with how the RM currency system works.
Alternatively, PGI could hand out 150 MCs to any player who signs up for some newsletter or likes the FB status etc.

Would rather see an exchange setup so that players can trade MC for CB. This would allow the market to set the rate of exchange, give access to MC for F2P players, and access to quick CB for P2P players. Farmers would not come because there's no RM exchanged.

There are a lot of games that use this to great effect. However, it also requires some significant cash sink for the gameplay derived currency to keep inflation under control. There also might need to be some other kind of economy to keep the exchange flowing.
A simple blind offers market with a minimum exchange rate would keep people from getting cheated, as well as deter "gold sellers".

Being able to spend MC to gain CBills is something that could gain a lot of business in a microtransaction based economy. Got your brand new mech, but dont really want to sit back and run another 5 or 10 battles to grind the cbills to equip it the way you want? dropping 20 MC for the gear would seem trivial, and would be easier to rationalize throwing a couple bucks at every month, since you're paying for a conveniece, and since you dont have special access to anything that you wouldnt anyway, its not P2W.
I'd blow through my MC pretty quick given this option. We can all ready buy mechs this way, may as well extend it to gear.

Yeah MC for cbil is fine i guess but that not really what i want to talk about... That mechanic will be a probable. Earning MC from in game is the point.

Not sure about being able to earn MC in game. PGI needs to make money to keep the game alive and growing so should not be cutting into its potential revenue. The people who play the most and are most likely to buy MC will also be the ones who have the most cbills and xp available to convert to MC.
A clear exchange rate between the various currencies that are exchangeable posted somewhere would be nice.
