While I am grateful for your concern about my language skills, there really is no reason to. I speak five languages, and while I am not a native English speaker I am perfectly fluent, so do not hold back.

Now on to logical thinking: I posted the maps to shows that surface gravity is in fact (meant to be) different on every map/planet that we currently have in game. As I further pointed out in my post I have not undertaken any tests to verify the impact said difference in surface gravity has on game mechanics. Should you have something constructive to add, e.g. proof acquired through testing of your own, I would be happy to discuss.

The gravity values on the maps, I've not paid much attention to before. Jump jetting for example, doesn't feel like it differentiates between each planet. That may just be my perspective.

As for weather it's working or not, it would be more than possible to add debug lines to the source code, but only if you had the source, as a developer. I can't think of another way to do it accurately.

I am guessing this will be a future enhancement, or maybe it is more HOPING. I know this last NGNG they said they were going to be adding terrain effects, slowing down while going through water but the upside of better heat dissipation, speeding up going down hills, slowing down going up... If they are going to be rolling out these sorts of changes, how hard would it really be on a map to say, since the gravity is X, that has Y effect on speed, and Z effect on jump jets, since they are already doing that with the terrain.

The gravity appears to be the same on each planet. Not sure why this is.

Edit: Well, I spose it's a game, so it doesn't matter too much. Those things don't seem to behave differently on different planets.

if the gravity on one map is 1 (9.8m/s2) and on another it is .9 (8.82m/s2) then the weight of a 65 ton catapult on .9 gravity would be 65 ton * ((8.82m/s2)/(9.8m/s2)) 58.5 ton. This should allow for you to run faster, and allow for missiles to travel further. However Piranha Games either does not know physics, or they have not implemented it do to higher priority.
