Could you please put the option to change the mouse X-axis settings to control turns instead of torso twisting, like in Mechwarrior 3 and 4? To be honest, I have doubts if the developers are actually 'Mechwarriors', so to speak. That is if they played any Battletech games in the past, or they just played FPS all their lives.

?! do you realize how slow you mech turns? That's a game design choice. If you limit yourself to that speed, you're good as dead. Sure, give this guy the option to lock his torso to his feet, I'll circle him in a Catapult and eat him for lunch.

Currently turning of the mech is digital, so you can't even assign it an axis anyway. Perhaps once they get this made analog for joysticks it could also be there if you choose to do so with your mouse. Of course I wouldn't recommend it at all since the mouse's accuracy is best left to the torso/reticle.

I support such an option, at least as training wheels for my friends used to other FPS games.
But the absence of it is not a sign that the Devs want to make MW:CoD. Your proposal would make MWO more like traditional shooters, which is why I support it as an "easy mode" for introducing friends to the game.

I really hope we get this.... this is how i played since the old games... i really cant handle this mouse torso only stuff - its the primary thing that prevents me from enjoying this game.
And i realize how slow a mechs torso turns....
but... heres how i would do it (and have in previous games)
Torso left:num 7
Torso right: num 9
Turn left : num 4 OR mouse left
Turn right: num 6 OR mouse right
then when you want to turn sharp, you can just hold the turn button instead of using the mouse, and use the mouse to fine tune...
the mechs turned slow in MW4 as well, (especially in the NBT mod, which i played a ton of...) and that was never an issue then
as it stands, i cant really play this game... hard to teach an old dog new tricks
