I can play Tera, as an example, which runs on the Unreal3 engine at pretty much full details with my year old computer and nearly 2 year old GTX 450. Crytek has a history of realeasing absolutely fabulos game engines that can render amazing details and need a supercomputer to run them. My question is, looking at the screencpas we have had so far, am I going to need to get a new PC to get even close to a decent framerate even with details turned way down? I have a Phenom II 1055t 6 core CPU at 2.8ghz with 8 gigs of DDR3, and the aforementioned GTX 450 with 1 gig of DDR5.

How Optimized is CryEngine3?

You'll be good. CryEngine3 runs on game consoles which pack OLD GPUs (~7800GT for PS3 and ~x1800 for 360).
Edit: This should really go in the Hardware section in Off topic though.

I would say you are in the clear.
mainly cause my gaming rig is inferior to yours in pretty much every aspect and I can run cryengine3 with almost no difficulty.

Well, the engine and the game itself are two different beasts.
Cryengine is a well optimized engine, but that does not necessarily mean MWO will run great.
Cryengine 3 is able to pump out some amazing graphics on 7 year old hardware (consoles), so I would say you will be able to run the game just fine, at what settings remains to be seen.
Hope that helps!

Really really well.
It runs better and looks better then CryEngine 2 or Unreal 3. CryEngine 2 was only designed for high end PC's, and looks like crap on low settings, while CryEngine 3 looks good on pretty much all settings.

I can run Crysis 2 (cryengine 3) on my AMD athlon II x2 240 cpu and HD5750 graphics card on high settings and get an average of 50-60FPS, and you rig is a hell of a lot better than mine, so will run fine on yours

CryENGINE 3 is quite optimized. It is able to take advantage of up to 8 threads (though it is more quad-threaded), and in directX 9 mode my integrated mobility radeon HD 4250 is able to push 720p at about 24-30 frames per second in Crysis 2.
I would say it won't be a problem.

the cryengine used for Crysis 1 yes, you had to have a megamachine, to run it at any decent level, but if you have played crysis 2 then you can see how much better optimized it is. Crytek has done a great job in the past and im sure it would run fine on your setup. a geforce gtx 400 series with 1 gddr5 is nothing to laugh at.

Your rig specs are fine.
