Well, there are no good or bad guys just politics and nature. There are bad people, there are bad actions.. but to each party their goal is justified, if ya kno what I mean.

I'm a warden from Clan Wolf... Leo Showers, Vlad Ward... You damn Jade Falcons.. they are my enemies because they want to invade and take control of you... freebirths. They want to change your life, your heritage even your culture because they see it as a non efficient waste of space they want for themselves! You must understand that Clans are raised and taught to be optimized in every way, perfectionist to the extreme. So to them, watching your governments and pretty much every damn thing you do they think you're a... petty... useless.. caste of inferiors not meant to.. no unworthy of inheriting that which would be the Star Leagues (A. Kerenskys) ultimate vision and assets.

Wardens believe that we [IS and clans] should be allies, to some extent.. and protect the assets our founders provided, to preserve in a sense.. We came to our conclusion after the creation of the Wolfs Dragoons merc unit, an undercover intel operation based on Outreach. We don't really think of you as a bug, we think of you as an evolving bug that we can/could continue to manipulate for our needs in the future ;)

Point being wardens want life and happiness, the other clans... those damn crusaders just want for you spherites to do the work and they reap the rewards, technologically speaking. Oh ya, and they want you to add rituals for every function of society, up to and including taking a pis$.. 'cos if you spill any of your genes you're a dead man.

Something along those lines, and it all revolves around ComStar, Terra and all those juicy technologies of the past that ComStar is keeping for themselves. (insert crusader mumbo jumbo here: Yeah, those freebirths are so inferior, it takes them years upon years to simply re-create that which we had access to generation upon generation ago, if only they shared the designs with us... we could not only re-create the original but optimize the plans by 100 or even 250%! Yeah, they're du duh dus... that stuff is ours.)

Don'tcha jus love the smell of impending war for breakfast?

Were the National Socialists in Germany during the 1930-40's wrong?

Was the USSR under Stalin a less than wonderful state, that often violated the basic rights of its own citizens?

Maybe.

One of the best things about BT is that there are no real "good guys" and "bad guys" (except the Word of Blake, who everyone with a brain agrees are bad)

You have to come to your own conclusions as to what is right, wrong, justified and not. IMHO the Clans' idea of a building new Star League and doing away with the corruption and chaos of the Successor States is a good one. It is now up to us to determine if the steep costs of creating such a thing are worth it in the end.
