Did u notice how the real chat working for police or the military?
You press a button than u can speak. Also u can have a private chat or chat to all.
This is what this game is need IMO.
Why would u listen two silly light mech harassing and hunting snipers and LRM boats all the time? or the lights listening the brawlers in the middle of the battlefield.
Or a lonely sniper doing this?
and what do u listen ? WAAA ooo nnoo YESSS F%%=( KiLL STeal @&#'"%+!/@&&@c ...............
A big mess. Sometimes u dont know what is an order. Or everyone is silent but then where is the fun and the beers?
Or some one have terrible mic and hurts Your ear, and you dont even need to listen him?
so u press on button than every one can hear u can be on ur mouse easy to access.
or press 1-8 or tab and select a player with arrows buttons.
For a direct communication line with another mech. the two light + commander
or scoot LRM
Brawler + Snipers.

so every one can connect with its own unit, but able to give information or command to every one. or u can chat with all if this is how u like it, i prefer to go in pairs or max with 4 ppl
Because u need concentration.
