Who liked the Rarity lack of character episode this week? I thought it was good, because it reinforced applejack, who doesn't get enough positive attention. I loves me some Rarity and Sweety Belle, but honestly AJ needs a character episode or two that revolves around her being awesome, and not her being a stubborn, strung out mule.

Thought the new ep was better than the nightmare night one for message. I will have to say though, Rarity is the one that least embodies her element. I mean for being the bearer of Generosity she's highly self centered.

You know, you seem to hang around in here a lot, despite your stated dislike for the series. You seem more then amiable, though. And it's clear outside this particular subject, we all seem to have some similar interests. I'm sure one could even find friends here if one could simply let go of the fact that the people in this topic enjoy a show with cute little ponies. Never hurts to try. =)

As long as you guys don't steal my old toys, I'm cool with ponies. Although I am a little confused over men enjoying My Little Pony, but hey, whatever!

Not many who took up the fandom are really all that interested in anything that is not 4th generation, so I think anything you have before then is likely safe. I would also put up a conjecture that most of the individuals who got into the show were people prone to be cartoon watchers or comic readers before hand. In which case they were already enjoying shows that they might not exactly be the target audience for. In such case, it's likely watched less for what the characters are and more who the characters are. The shows quality, as kids shows go, is fairly high. The jokes designed to help entertain parents along with kids help that quality widen the audience some.

Again, this is conjecture. There are plenty of people out there who have their own analyses on the subject, and my own may be colored by my own reasons. Additionally, there is a much wider array of reasons, but today I wanted to keep this short.
