Because fear is good. Fear keeps you from trying to take on a dragon that will utterly destroy you. Courage is not the absence of fear, it is overcoming it. Fluttershy has courage. Dash is just too hardheaded/hotheaded/emptyheaded to be afraid.

Well I've definitely been lurking in this thread for too long because I'm starting to watch now. Last three episodes I've seen were "Green is not your color", "look before you sleep" and "call of the cutie" and have my PVR set up to record more. I'm not ready to call myself a Bronie yet but the show isn't bad,some of the humor is a bit old school slapstick and I like that.

Honestly you picked some of the lower-tier episodes, so if you liked those you'll definitely love some of the better ones! Keep on watching, I'm sure you'll find your enjoyment increasing. Mayhaps by 20%, mayhaps doubled.

Lower-tier episodes? "Green isn't your color" and "Look before you sleep" are two of the best episodes. Green isn't your color is the only episode I've watched more than twice.
